"Insanity has no end."

~Grace's POV~

I walk down the quiet streets at around four in the morning. The voices in my head aren't getting any quieter, but I know if I don't get home soon, my parents would notice my absence. It's Monday. Ewww, school.

My house eventually enters my line of sight. It looks so normal. No one would ever suspect what happens on the inside. I sprint to the tree next to my window, scurry up it, and quickly crawl into my room. I take off my clothes, changing into my pajamas and throwing my blood stained clothes into the laundry. Lucky for me, I do my own laundry. I feel my way through the dark to my bed and crawl beneath the sheets. The voices are still speaking out in my mind, but I still somehow manage to fall asleep.

*Time skip, 6:00 AM*

Beep

I groggily slam my hand down on my alarm clock to silence it. I start to get up, but then lay back down, finding myself too tired to do anything. It's close to 6:45 when my step-mom walks in. Wonderful.

"Get the hell up," she snaps, pulling me up by my arm out of bed. I stumbled to the ground.

Once I hear door shut, I quickly pull myself up and head over to my closet to start getting dressed. I pull out some ripped black skinny jeans and a white teenage dirtbag crop top. I add some bracelets that make the outfit. I slip on my vans and backpack and start to make my way downstairs.

I get downstairs only to find my dad unconscious on the couch and my step-mom nowhere to be found. I really miss the family we were before mom left. I jog into the kitchen, grab a granola bar, and finally start to make my way to school.

It takes about 25 minutes to get to school. I trudge over to a bench in the courtyard, plopping down and putting my earbuds in. I can tell something's going to happen today.

The voices tell me so.
