Zoe
I bring WindBreaker down on the male I´d been battling head. The head isn't even on the ground before someone else is swinging their sword at me. I meet them for all their attacks before I decide to go on the offensive. Once I´m on offense it´s two easy moves before the head is rolling. I look around to see only 8 people standing and from a look at their armor it tells me they are the rulers and generals of the other kingdoms. I lift my hand as if in greeting but it is to see if they want to come and challenge me. None of them take the challenge…pity.
I start to walk towards them and they tense as they should. One of the rulers starts to walk towards me and I see from his armor he's the King of Kamala. He takes his helmet off and he's even more beautiful than Lor. He stops about five feet from me, so I stop too. I don't take my helmet off because I want to have a chance to grab WiindSinger if he decides to attack.
¨I´m Castteel or Cas, King of Kamala,¨ he says and his voice is a deep rich voice that matches his looks with his dark hazel eyes, his jet black hair, the straight nose, the honey-tanned skin, the pointed ears, and the youngest of his features that marks him under 100.
¨I´m Zoe,¨ I tell him not bothering with a title because if he doesn't know me it would be surprising.
He laughs for some reason then asks, ¨As in the Goddess or the Queen?¨
I contemplate my answer because someone as young as him shouldn't know who the Gods and Goddesses are unless he's over 200 years old and doesn't show his age. After some time I say, ¨The Queen.¨
¨You took some time to answer, are you sure it's not the Goddess?¨ he asks me and I start to reach for WindSinger.
Once I feel WindSinger´s cold hilt in my hand I say in a low cold voice, ¨Don´t mess with me boy or you´ll find your body among the fallen.¨
His eyes widened but in a cool voice he tells me, ¨I´m no boy, I´m 210 years old. If anything, you're the young one here.¨
I laugh and I can smell the fear coming out of him now. Then once I see that he is going to retreat I tell him, ¨I´m 16,650 years old. I´ve walked among the Gods. I also learned how to fight like them. So I´m not the young one and never will be the young one here.¨
He starts to tense as if he's going to bolt then he throws something in my direction. I put my shadows up in case it's a bomb designed to kill on impact of hitting the ground. After a couple of seconds of no explosion, I take my shadows down. I see that it's an envelope and I grab it. Then I look toward Castteel and see he's staring at me with his eyes slightly widened.
I put the envelope in a hidden pocket in my armor and turned my back. I start to walk but I hear a sound and I whirl around to see an arrow heading straight for me. It's going so fast that all I can do is take the impact of the arrow to the chest. I´m knocked down and I think that Damon is shouting orders to our remaining soldiers but I'm not sure before the world goes dark. When I wake up I see a stone chamber with an iron door. There are no windows so it tells me I'm in a torture chamber. There's A familiar scent in here that reminds me of my own as well as Lor´s. I try to get up and fail not because I'm chained at the ankles with ancient chains. What is keeping me from getting up, is the pain in my chest. I bite back my scream and look towards the door as it opens very slightly. Once it opens up enough a head of a male looks into the room. Once he sees that I'm awake he smiles and opens the door fully to walk in. Once the door is open all the way the light from the hallway shows he's tall, has navy blue colored hair, with fair skin that hasn't yet been tanned by the summer sun yet. Once he gets closer to me I see his eyes are like mine for the pupils of them are slits but are horizontal instead of vertical. There also a very deep purple that offsets his hair.
¨Well Your Highness how are you doing?¨ he asks me and when I don't immediately respond he says, ¨I´m Aiden King of Centola.¨
Once he stops walking towards me he grabs a stool from beside what I'm guessing is the bed and sits down on it. Once he does that I tell him, ¨I´m fine but I want to know where I am and why I am here.¨
He doesn't talk for a moment but when he does he says, ¨You´re here because you didn´t open the envelope immediately and that was the only other way we could think of to get you here to discuss ending this war. As for which kingdom you´re in that's something I´m not able to tell you.¨
¨Why can't you tell me which kingdom I´m in?¨ I ask him starting to rise and not caring about how my body tells me to lay back down. Once I´m fully up Lor´s scent hits me strongly and I have to fight back the urge to grab Aiden´s throat.
“Like I said I can't tell you that,” Adien says.
I swing my legs over the bed and I start to lunge at him but someone enters the chamber. It's A female from her scent and in a small voice, she asks, ¨Is she able to get ready?¨
Aiden sighs and then says to her, ¨Unless you want to be killed yes, but if not then no.¨
¨Can´t you give her something to calm her?¨ She asks as if she's concerned, but I don´t know for whom.
¨I´m not some rabid anima!¨ I exclaim throwing my hands up.
Aiden flinches and draws back. The movement sent a pain through my body and I wince. I think I got away with it but then Aiden says to me, ¨The wound is not completely healed yet.¨
I snarl at him and say, ¨That's none of your concern.¨
¨It is something of my concern when your brother is threatening to burn the city down if you´re not returned alive,¨ He tells me.
Under my breath I mutter, ¨If the city burns I hope all your souls are unworthy to Kema.¨
¨What did she say?¨ The female asks with a curiousness in her tone.
¨I have no clue,¨ Aiden says, getting up and putting the stool back from where he got it.
He offers me a hand to get up from where I am sitting. I don´t take his hand. Instead, I break the chains that bound my ankles together and made a swift movement of my leg that had Aiden falling. I used my shadows to hold the female back from attacking. Aiden tried to get up but I had gotten up and placed a foot on his chest.
¨Think about changing the chains you use on your prisoners next time because old chains break more easily than newer or less used ones,¨ I say to both of them then add, ¨Also you need to figure out between real pain and pain that has been faked to catch people off guard.¨
Aiden tries to get up but can't because of the pressure I'm putting on my leg that's holding him down. Instead, he asks me, ¨Don´t you want peace? Don´t you want to have a normal life that doesn't revolve around battle and bloodshed?¨
I lean down and whisper into his ear, ¨You should have thought about that before killing Lor.¨
I straighten and look to see that the female isn't struggling against her bounds of shadows. She just looks at me and then asks me, ¨Why are you doing this? You don't even know us.¨
¨You should have thought about what would have come out of you killing Lor,¨ was all I replied with.
I moved my foot from Aiden´s chest and kicked him in the head hard enough so he would pass out. I walk towards the entrance of the chamber and once I get to the entrance I finally see the female's features for the first time. Her eyes are like a burning fire with red and orange, her hair is like fire with red, yellow, orange, and white, and blue streaks in it. Then with her onyx horns that reminded me of Cally and Zack´s. Her curved ears instead of pointed and the pupils of her eyes were a circle instead of the slit that was in mine. Once I was done taking in her features I asked her, ¨Where are my weapons?¨
¨You know where they are,¨ she tells me looking me directly in the eye, then adding, ¨You knew where they were the moment you figured out you were in Kamala.¨
¨True, but had to make sure things hadn't changed,¨ I replied and with that, I walked out the door and went to get my weapons back.
