"What is the meaning of this?"

Salubong ang mga kilay nitong tumingin saakin with her voice slicing through the tension in the room. She tossed her tablet onto the table, showing the blueprint i made with a red marks all over it. Lumapit ako to get a better look.

"What's the problem?"

She rolled her eyes, "The structural elements you made for this aren't aligned on what we have discussed. This will delayed the project and increase the cost, Architect."

"The specs were adjusted due to on-site constraints. I've already coordinated with the engineering team about these changes." I explain. My patience was already running thin.

"You coordinated with the engineering team?" She repeated in disbelief at inis na tumayo. "You should've coordinate with me, Cassidy. I am the CEO. I make the decisions!"

Kalma lang, Cassidy, kaylangan mong kumalma

I took a deep breath, trying my best to calm down knowing damn well she's already getting on my nerves. Did she really think I was acting one sided, undermining her authority?

"I sent you the revised plans beforehand, but you were-"

I closed my eyes tightly as our argument was interrupted by a knock at the door. Inis naman akong napalingon sa pinto nang pumasok si Nica, her secretary.

"M-ma'am, The Chairman is here." She said. Kaagad akong napatingin kay aurora pero sinalubong lang ako ng mga malalamig nitong titig.

Kulang nalang mag transform siya bilang elsa

"Am I interrupting?" Tito Anthony asked as he enter.

"You didn't inform me you were coming, dad." Aurora plainly said as she walks towards him at nakipagbeso. Ganun din ang ginawa ko.

"I tried calling, but you were unavailable,"he said as we settled onto the couch. "Besides, this won't take long. You can continue your 'bebe time' afterward."

I want to laugh with what he said. Bebe time? Eh Kulang na nga lang magsabunutan kami ng anak niya kanina.

I silently sighed. Para talaga kaming aso't pusa.
Hindi na talaga ako magugulat kung pati powerpoint presentation ay pag awayan pa namin. What's next? A sword fighting in a conference room?

"Dad" Aurora said na tila nagbabanta.

"I'm just kidding," Tito Anthony chuckles, "I wanted to inform you about the Cebu project."

"What about it?"

"There's a ball on Saturday to celebrate it's success. The governor is eager for our presence. It's a good thing that your wife is here, I want you both to attend it."

"Why can't you?"

"Darling, I have a business trip starting Wednesday."

"Dad, you know we can't attend. We have too much work-"

"C'mon, Aurora, your company won't collapse by attending a simple ball. Isn't that right, Cassidy, anak?"

"Oh, I couldn't agree more, tito" Tito is speaking facts naman. Attending a ball wouldn't kill her nor her company.

Dumapo ang tingin ko kay aurora at para bang gusto kong bawiin ang sinabi ko. She's staring at me with her eyes flaming with irritation. Oh, she's mad mad

"See? Listen to your wife, Aurora"

I swallowed hard and immidiately look away. The tension between us is suffocating. Oh, gosh, please help me.
