Hyuna's point of view:
The night stars had gathered around to shed some light on the challenging path of the team's bravery. Silence conquered the night, waiting impatiently for the five people who were now walking determined to act. A cold breeze penetrated Hyuna's skin, and she let it take all of her doubts away, fueling her with confidence and determination. They were going to make it out alive today, yes.
Once they reached the locked gate, Hyuna turned to look at Mizi, Till, Dewey and Isaac one by one.
''From this way here, our paths will part.'', she stated with fierce eyes. ''You know what to do. Good luck y'all. Don't get yourselves killed.'', she grinned and slided the card which was claimed at the last invasion, causing Hyuna's fate to dangerously hang from a thread, but eventually worth it.
When the gate opened wide, revealing dark hallways and corridors, the team split up to hurry and complete the mission. Hyuna waited until all of the figures disappeared, and ran towards the human-pets' chambers. However, she hadn't noticed that someone was following her up close.
¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬Till's point of view:
He didn't know neither what held him back, nor why he creeped into the shadows of a corridor, panting heavily. Maybe it was the place, those white walls, smooth and clean, yet scarred with the captured children's sorrow, grief...Fear.
But when he opened his heavy eyelids, seeing Hyuna mumbling regretfully to herself while staring at the others' disappearing figures was odd enough to trigger Till's curiosity. He became even more confused when he realized that the woman turned the opossite way she had showed in her mad plan.
That's why he followed her silently, abandoning his own duties.
Hyuna was running through corridors and hallways like she was the most experienced person when it came to the destination she was aiming, while Till was struggling to keep up. Eventually, Till realised that they had made it to the human-pets' rooms. The man's curiosity fired up when he saw Hyuna stopping in front of a door which was labeled as: ''LUKA''. Hidden in a dark corridor, Till was observing cautiously the woman's moves, but when she reached for the handle he sprinted towards her and grabbed her wrist.
''I think you're lost.'', he said out of breath.
Hyuna let out a reserved gasp of surprise and, led by body memory, she pointed her gun towards Till's head. Emerald-green eyes piercing exotic grey ones.
''Fuck Till! What the hell are you doing here?'', she whispered-yelled, lowering the gun.
''The question is what are YOU doing here?'', he asked, still holding her wrist firmly.
When Hyuna didn't respond and instead looked away annoyed, Till connected the dots and let go of her hand.
''Oooh you are here for Luka. Ohh Hyuna I didn't-'', he was cut off by a slap.
''Go back to your mission and do not mind me! I know what I'm doing!'', she hissed.
The man, however, only smiled brightly and said:''I want to help!''
''No! The others need you Till! Do not screw us all!''
''Look at who's talking.'', he retorted sarcastically.
''Fine, I don't have time for this. I will get Luka out of here and you will take care of the second contestand of round 7. We are bursting them out real quick and return to our duties. Understood?'', Hyuna looked Till in the eyes, waiting for a response.
The man nodded his head in agreement and asked:''Who is Luka's contestant though? Ivan...I...'', he gulped down the knot in his throat.
Hyuna shrugged her shoulders, clearly annoyed by the waste of time.
''Aliens love to shower the audience with surprises. I have no idea who would replace you.''
''Okay, I am going to search for them then.'', Till announced and turned to leave.
Never dropping his guard down, Till traversed the long hallway of countless doors, each one of them holding captive doomed humans, both children and adults, forced to sing to death for the so called entertainment, when something captured his attention. He glimpsed at the door that was labeled with letters. It read: ''IVAN''
Till's breath hinched. From now on, his heart had taken the lead, not paying any attention to the mind that was literally screaming to move on, to not let his friends down. However, Ivan's engraved name on the material sufficed for Till to completely forget the reason he was here for. As he felt his body being flooded with nostalgia, regret and sorrow, but overall, guilt, each feeling sinking its sharp talons into Till's heart, he thoughtlessly reached for the doorhandle, thanking the aliens' foolish system that was allowing to unlock doors and gates from the outside only.
Desperation.
Ignorance.
Regret.
So here he was, glancing with tearful eyes at Ivan's room, now empty of his mysterious presence. Till closed the door behind him, careful enough to leave only a crevice between the door and the wall.
He moved forwards.
Trembling limbs, suddenly complaining at his every move.
