To Find and Chase

Chapter 2: Plans

John holds a few sum of money in his hand, smiling as he counts a few dollars. "s-so...what do we do with the money, sir?" Sean asks, looking at his boss who seems to be enjoying himself.

He then tosses back the money on the table, "well, let's try to do something different this time." John says with a plan constructed in his mind already, he turns to the whiteboard and grabs a pentel pel to write out the plans.

"Uhm..so you're saying that you'll do all this by yourself?"

"have a problem with it? Anyway, you're gonna be in the background of it. It's a great plan, right?" John replied, putting down the marker and pushing Sean away. "Get the car." John orders and Sean leaves.

Paul rests on the couch beside his wife, Laura. "How's the mission?" she asks while he stares at the tv, "It went well at first, i mean, we shot his arm but..he escaped and knew we were tracking him. Sucks, right?" Paul answers, clearly a bit disappointed and wished that John hadn't noticed the tracker.

"I'm sure you'll get him, but, just remember to stay safe alright?" Laura sighs, he smiles at her and brushes her blonde hair with his fingers. "i know." he spoke and kissed her forehead.

Paul gets a call from his phone and he takes it from the table, it was a call from Zach and he excused himself before going to the kitchen.

"Hey, sorry for the call since it's a little late by now. But do you have some free time after work? Liz wants to see Zoey tomorrow and we both have to keep an eye of them." Zach talks on the phone, waiting for his response while staring at his daughter who is sleeping.

"I'm fine with it, but I'll ask Laura first. One sec." Paul dismisses the phone, he walks to his wife. "Liz wants to see Zoey tomorrow, is that alright with you, hun?" he asks, Laura nods "of course, i love that girl, she's a sweetheart.".

Paul then agrees with Zach to meet up with the kids, he ends the call and decided to go to bed with his wife.

John arrives at his father's workplace, he walks in and the security guards start updating to the head office of who is entering the building.

He finally arrives at the last floor, floor 20 and the doors were opened while he walks in. His father, Arthur was expecting for a long time to see his grown up son. A son he spoiled out of the 2 children, Arthur smiled and his white half grey beard and mustache moved upwards.

Arthur gets up from his chair and walks up to his son, putting his hands on his shoulders. "it's been a while since I've seen you, son. Whats the occasion this time?" his father asked in his usual rough tone, he walks back to his chair while gesturing his son to sit on a chair from the other side of the desk.

"I've got a plan, something different than what i always do. But for that, I'll have to guarantee your permission because you also own the business. And not only that, i have to change my identity." John  explains seriously, seeming to be passionate about his plan. Arthur hums then slightly tilts his head.

"did you get caught?" his father starts thinking about his son's decision to change his identity, "why would i? I can't tell the details right now since as people say 'once you tell your plans, it won't happen' you know me, father." John recalls the saying and sighs.

His father taps his index finger on his desk as he starts thinking, after a few seconds he decided to agree with John's plans or whatever he might be doing. They aren't that close and barely have any contact unless it's something about business or needing to borrow something since Arthur has a lot of connections.

"I'll allow it, but you better tell me the details when the time comes. Anything else?"

"In my plan, i need you to find a school that is big and secured." John requested again, his father's eyebrows raised.

"A school? Alright then.." Arthur murmured and ordered his secretary.

Few minutes go by and John started to get bored, though he wanted to yell at the secretary to work faster since internet exists he couldn't because his father is right infront of him who is also waiting. The secretary finally got something and showed the laptop screen to John, "Here's one, Ravenstone University."

"perfect, this is gonna take a lot of time to collect details and do projects once im there." John smiled and asked to get a copy of the information of the school then gets up from the chair and excuses himself to leave.

"oh, and one more thing." Arthur stops him, continuing "I'm proud of you, son. Make sure to not get caught, well actually i can just pay to bail you out of prison. You can go.".

Authors note: so...i dont know about you guys but hopefully you dont feel like its rushed, theres alot more parts coming up so dont worry (or maybe i should be worried).
