Waking up from a nap is always an upsetting feeling for me since Ive started feeling a bit uneasy around mom and the house. I almost always get a chill down my spine every time I wake up, Norman suggested I might be loosing sleep and thats the cause of my problems I personally dont think thats true but I decided to start taking more naps in calming environment to make up for the lack of sleep.

Looking up I see Ray with his nose stuck in a book as usual, I guess I cant talk much when it comes to that since I do that often too but whenever he does it he looks so gloomy and sad.

If it weren't for his sass he would be mistaken for a shy nerd who prefers books over people.

"Where is everyone?" Standing up I scope the area and sure enough everybody has gone off leaving me and Ray alone by the house.

"Their off playing tag, if you want im sure you could catch up to them."

I shook my head 'No' and started stretching my arms and legs to help me stay flexible, its a habit I picked up from Mable my favorite book character.

Looking over at Ray he still looks gloomy but his face has a bit of a soft expression with a small but faint smile on his lips. His book must be pretty good for him to smile like that.

I wish he would smile at me like that.

"So whatcha reading?"

"Michael Jones book on mechanics and the foundations of mechanisms." He replied coldly.

Talking to him is always like this so dry, and right to the point. Conversation with him is so hard!

I look over my shoulder and im immediately tackled by Emma one of my best friends.

We both crash to the ground with a big thump making me groan due to the impact on my back, before I could get a word in she's squeezing me into an embrace.

"It was so fun Rose you should've joined Norman found everyone so easily!" I release a breath and hug her back as she continues to tell me everything that happened during the game I missed out on.

"Emma give her some room you just threw her to the ground like it was nothing im sure she's hurting right now." Gilda spoke as she approached us.

"Oh right sorry Ruby!" Emma energetically stood up and extended a hand to me pulling me up.

The three of us end up in a conversation about the game with Gilda going into more details on what happened, in the corner of my eye I see Norman and Ray talking about something with Ray giving Norman a cold glare.
