The only sound I could hear around me was my feet hitting the ground, and the large ravager behind me. The tall tower-like buildings are not full of friendly people, and they have very large noses. I leap over a fallen branch hoping to slow down the savage beast chasing me, however, it does little to slow it as it just charges through it.

Fuck, a large cliff came into view as I ran through the last bit of the forest. I didn't have anything on me to make a bridge, as all my blocks were used to stop the ravager minutes before. What a waste. It was gaining on me and it wasn't slowing down, I used my last bit of strength to push myself. I made it out of the forest. I was almost to the cliff, maybe there was a river, something I could jump below to.

If only there wasn't a fucking log I didn't see.

One second too late and I was on my ass tumbling down the hill, I whipped around to see a growling beast facing me. Nothing was broken, but it wasn't going to help me once I was ripped apart by the animal. I shuffled back as it slowly stomped towards me.

"No...nonono please," I beg. I close my eyes, hoping if I didn't see myself, being eaten alive it would hurt less.

I open my eyes to find the once evil and giant beast dead on the ground, with a green arrow lodged right in its gut. I was so happy, I was alive.

"You're welcome."

I whip around to see a man standing there.

"AH!" I scream and shuffle back. "Get the fuck away from me!"

The man looked confused, his black hair was tied up with a white bandana. He also was wearing purple armour. Something also caught my attention, he looked just like me. Not like any other "thing" I've seen yet.

"Wait you're...like me?" I stood up, and he seemed even more confused.

"What do you mean like you?" He didn't seem threatening but he had taken out a ravager with nothing more than an arrow so he wasn't harmless.

"You...you look like me, you don't have a big nose. You look human?" At this, he laughed.

"Yeah no, I'm not a villager or illager, you aren't from around here are you?" He asked.

Where even was here? It was so blocky. It's the only place I remember, but it also doesn't feel like my home.

"I don't think so but I don't remember anything so..."

"Well, you were here long enough to get in trouble with some of the illagers."

What the fuck was an illager?

"You mean the ugly big nose guys? Oh yeah, not very friendly. Learned that the hard way." I said.

What was I doing? I didn't even know this guy.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"Oh I'm Sapnap, who are you?" And I give my name in return.

"Well it's nice to meet you, I should get going. My friends are going to be wondering where I went." With that, he started to walk away.

Did he know more people? Maybe they knew how to escape this weird block place, or even had a place to stay.

"Hey! Wait up!" I called after him. I ran to catch up to him.

He turns around and waits for me to catch up. "What?"

"Let me come with you!" I said and he looked skeptical, "I can be helpful I promise, and maybe you can help me get home?"
