Disappointment and surprises

Ace's POV

I spent the following days and nights by her side and it pained me to see her in this condition but the doctor said that she is getting better I just need to know where I can get more money. I was so lost in my thoughts this few days that I didn't bother to check my phone and I wish I did because I found Andrea's calls and text messages.
"Shiet" I said as I ran out to go to school I really needed to apologise.
I got to school to find the squad seated at our usual hang out point. As I approached I could tell that Andrea was in a bad but I guess I wanted to know how bad it was .

"Someone seems moody" I said I saw her back stiffen and then slowly turned as she stood up she glared at and was about to say something but was interpreted by the phone call of which she immediately left I wanted to catch up to her but Alex and Aaron convinced me otherwise.

We talked for sometime and then headed to class . I watched as the professor spoke and then gave out an assessment test I hurriedly did it and watched as the time was going painfully slow.

All I really wanted was for me to just head to where Andrea was and try to make things right but the professor just kept going on and on.

"So you coming to football practice it's at 4pm and the coach was pissed since you haven't come to practice for the past few days I suggest you go and speak to him" Alex said with a concerned look.

"Yeah I'll do so later on "
"No before we head out for lunch actually I'll accompany you".

"Fine " I said since I knew that was no point in trying to argue it out.

Andrea's POV

The class was going painfully slow and the professor was just ranting on and on and somehow along the way I lost my focus.

"Raise you're hand " Catherine whispered the professor has said we lift our hand"

As soon as I did the professor pointed at me

" Yes answer the question miss Andrea"

At first I was confused until I realised what had just happened I glared at Catherine but she was busy holding back her laugh as for Lilian she just watched more with amusement.

" I would suggest that the factors of production be put into consideration and the country's capabilities to handle the production" I answered hoping that the professor wouldn't ask more questions but as luck would have it the class turned into a debate between me and the professor.After what felt like ages he stopped asking me more questions.

"And Miss. Andrea good work"

"Thank you sir" I said as I took my seat.

I then faced Catherine and Lilian whose jaws were on the ground.

" You better close your mouths else an insect will find pleasure in exploring it" I said with a smirk and then focused on what the professor was saying as I watched him leave class I also parked by bag and headed out for lunch because I was starving.

We headed to our normal hangout spot I was expecting to find the other but to our surprise they weren't there.

"Aaron has just texted me " Catherine said " apparently they went to see the football coach." She said as we sat down.

"I just hope that they have coffee since I had no option rather than drink that horrible coffee in the canteen " Lilian said.

"Catherine how come you have Aaron's phone number" I could see her blush as she tried to create some random excuse.

" Yeah and I have noticed how you two have become close " Lilian added.

"And what about you and Alex" Catherine clapped back. Lilian's face was now red as she tried to say something.

" I'll go get us some drinks as we wait for the guys" Lilian said but Catherine grabbed her hand and Lilian sat down.

"No it's better if you tell us you said no more secrets right" Catherine said.

"It's complicated" she said.
" How so " we asked in unison.

"Promise me that after I tell you you'll also tell us about you and Aaron "

"Promise" as Catherine and I laughed.

"So we have been hanging out but Aaron doesn't know because he'll beat him and Alex is just giving me mixed reactions I don't even know what to do" she said with a sigh.

"As for me and Aaron we are just trying to see what it can lead to we aren't really dating I guess it's more of us being sneaky links though I l...."

Catherine statement was cut short when a group of girls or better yet the cheerleader squad closely followed by the guys and the girls were all over them and that was something that didn't sit right with them.

But what hurt the most was the fact that the guys just allowed them to touch and openly flirt with them.

"We are all single right" Lilian said as she brought our attention back to her.

" Yeah " we said I unison.

"You know honestly speaking we can't claim a man who doesn't want to be claimed and neither can we force a whole grown man to be in a relationship" I said.

"It's palin truth but deep down even though we have some sort of feelings for them our self worth is more higher than this" Catherine said.

" I just wish sometimes men could be more straight forward like if they just want sex they say and if it's commitment they should also say it but anyways" Lilian said.

"Let me grab our drinks I'll be right back" I said as I headed to the serving counter.

I was thinking of how I'll carry all the three drinks when someone offered to help.

" Jake what..."

" Let me help you with that " he said as he walked towards where my friends were.

We sat together and talked and ate our lunch Jake later excused himself as he had other plans later in the day.

" I really don't feel like heading to the next class " Lilian said.

" We better be on our way since we got an assessment test today"

"Shiet let's go " she said as she hurriedly packed her books.

As we left we could feel the gaze from the guys but we had other things to do.

"Hey A " I turned to see Jake right in front of me holding my favourite coffee.

" I had you complain about the bad coffee and also about not getting coffee so I brought you two ladies coffee" he said with a smile.

Lilian was so happy that she took her cup and left with Catherine as I was left behind talking to Jake.

"Thank you I owe you one I got to run since I got another class " I said as I took a sip of the coffee and headed out.

But it was not weird that I was taking coffee right I just felt more calm. I really needed the boost since the next class was no joke.
