You snap awake and quickly sit up clutching your chest as you attempt to calm your beating heart when suddenly you hear a familiar distant call. It's been bugging you since the day you set sail on these waters but you were too scared to investigate, after all who in their right mind would leave the safe confines of their room to investigate some strange noise in the middle of the night right? Or that's what you used to think because tonight would be the night you'd finally find out what or rather who the fuck has been ruining your sleep schedule.
You throw the covers off yourself as you climb out of bed and walk to the door. You hesitate as you reach towards the doornob, ''Do I really wanna find out?'' you thought. "𝘠'𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘵." you said before slamming the door open and rushing down the stairs to get to the lower deck. With every step you took you felt more drawn to the distant melody as if you were cast under a spell that suddenly broke when you stood on the edge of the lower deck peering into the dark waters below.
"......𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘸𝘬𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥" you mummbled under your breath as you continued to stare down into the water below as if waiting for something bizzare to happen before shrugging and turning around and making your way back inside. "𝘚𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘱𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘴" you thought aloud. "𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘱𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘴?" a masculine voice asked, you immediately freeze in your tracks. You slowly turn around preparing to face whatever monstrosity uttered those words.
