"I've lost enough

to never need another lesson
in heartache again."

KATSUKI 𝜗୧

I fucking hate my job.

"I just thought you were cute, could I have your number?"

.
.
.

"Excuse me?.." the short girl trailed off, twirling her hair around her finger. "Did you hear me?"

Obviously.

I rolled my eyes, leaning over the counter. "I don't have a phone." I huffed, sliding her drink towards her. She pouted and flipped her hair over her shoulder.

"Everyone has a phone."

"I'm not everyone."

"Well!-"

Ignoring her, I turned on my heels fishing out a bottle of water from our mini fridge. Go away.

She beamed behind me, droning on about how I was "playing hard to get." and about how we "go together." I rolled my eyes, again. She giggled at the action.

Fuck she giggling for?

"I don't date girls." I snapped. Her eyes widened and her mouth morphed into a faint "O" shape.

"Oh.." she trailed off, "are you?.." she blinked innocently, resting her elbow on the counter before flicking her wrist forward.

.
.
.

"What."

"It's okay if you are, I understand! I'm an ally!"

"I'm not-" I was interrupted by buzzing in my pocket before I could finish.

"I totally understand."

"Holy shit, go home." I snapped, declining the call. Spinning around, I left the bar and headed to its parking lot. I felt my temple pulsate hearing her faint laughter in the distance.

Sighing heavily I leaned against my car, shivering as the wind blew. I closed my eyes in an attempt to calm down. Despite all odds, this might officially be the one day I've never been completely irritated.

"Hey, Bakubro!"

I love speaking too soon.

Eijiro's cheerful voice cut through my peaceful silence. Instantly recognizable, instantly irritable. He slammed his car door closed, and he and Ashido skipped over towards me.

"We missed you!" She giggled, hugging my arm. "We thought you might need some company on your break."

I scowled, pulling my arm out of her grasp. "Stop following me."
