"Here." Tyler says as he hands his guitar over to Ben.

We were all huddled on the bus, waiting for the clock to strike twelve. In the meantime,

"You still remember the chords, right? Do I need to go over them one more time?" Tyler crosses his arms, his tone remaining neutral. Though, it did lack that typical roughness this time.

Ben carefully held the guitar in his hands, running his fingers over the strings. Ashlyn eyes Tyler closely, which he does not fail to notice.

He narrows his eyes down at her, not appreciating the blank look she was giving him, "...What?"

"You've become less of a jerk lately." She responds bluntly.

It was true. Although he had always been less rude to me, he had begun to soften up around the others.

An unappreciative scowl grows on his face, "Was that supposed to be a compliment?"

"I guess." She answers, "It was nice of you to teach him how to play 'Happy Birthday' since he couldn't sing it. You didn't seem like the type to play guitar."

I feel Tyler's eyes find mine when he hears that last bit. He stares down at me a little longer before saying, "...I'm not, but I do know a few songs my dad taught us, and Y/N plays for us here and there. 'Happy Birthday' just happened to be one of the songs that stuck."

Aiden lifts his head up from the bus seat he's lying on, "Oh, I forgot you knew how to play, Y/N!"

Taylor grins like a proud parent, patting my shoulder, "She's really good too."

A faint blush spreads over my cheeks at the flattery. I wave them off, "Oh, I don't know about that...I haven't played in a while."

Tyler clicks his tongue, "Stop that, you're great...Anyway, how much time is left?"

Logan speaks up tiredly from the pile of tires he was crouched in, "Um...about two minutes."

Aiden rests his head back, tilting up slightly to look at Ashlyn, "We're still going into town tonight, right?"

She nods, "Yeah, since that's what Logan suggested we do."

Our initial goal for tonight was to test out how far our alternate bodies could travel away from our real bodies without interfering with our body's location in the real world. We needed to verify that nothing harmful will occur once we make our trip back to Savannah.

Tyler walks over to sit beside Taylor and I, running a hand through his thick hair. I drop my head onto his shoulder whilst Taylor slings her legs over my lap.

The moment I close my eyes, the air around us changes in an instant. I blink a few times before realizing I was no longer sitting in the bus, but standing just a few feet away from the bus. I was back in my all-black attire with my bow resting against my back.

I peer over at the rest of the group, finding them all huddled around the jeep in front of me. We discuss for a moment before half of us return to the bus to collect supplies.

I toss the bag full of gauze and antibiotics in the trunk and step back so Ben could shut it. Aiden walks over to the back of the jeep, patting the spare tire. Ashlyn approaches us and asks,

"Was that the rest of the backup supplies?"

"Yep!" Aiden chirps up.

"Then we're good to go."

I dig through my pocket and pull the keys out. I toss them up mindlessly before opening the door on the driver's side. I feel a hand loosely wrap around my bicep, pulling me away from the jeep.
