Ouros. With its lush landscape and clear waters, it could be seen as a paradise, a haven. A land created by the Gods, being of pure magic and energy. On the first day, they created the world, the sun and moon, choosing the youngest of them to be the patrons. On the second day, they created the lush landscapes with Ouros as their primary land. On the third, they created the waters and winds, fire and earth. On the fourth, they made animals, placing them under the protection of one of the most benevolent gods.

On the fifth day, they created primal instincts and survival, wanting their creations to try and survive on their own. On the sixth, Death was created, the grim reaper's cold hands rising above even the strongest gods. On the seventh: Life was bored of the only having animals to entertain themselves. "They are brutes, only wanting to hunt, eat, and survive." She said. "I shall create new life, Mankind. They will be my magnum opus!" Life declared, much to Death's dismay. And so she did indeed. From the clay of the gods, the bones of Death, and the blessing of Life, Man was created. And so, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and much more thrived within the lands, starting up kingdoms and civilizations. The Gods, Life, and Death, were all happy.

However, around 1XX21, 10,021 years after the creation, this all changed. Monsters, Demons, creatures from hell began to invade, turning the once beautiful paradise into a warzone. As they watched , the gods decided to retaliate against these invaders. "I shall  grant them my blessing!" Mystia, the magical goddess declared. "I shall as well." Mayt, deity of the undead and Death's greatest enemy said. As the other gods jumped in to declare their blessings, Death was peeved. He had nothing good to give, for his magic was too powerful for mortals to harness. "I shall grant them a replica of my blade to only the worthy. The one who would be my successor."

And so, they granted the many, many, MANY people their blessing. Some could create pure magical flames, some can heal the injured, while others could even raise the dead. Myths began forming of a lesser version of Death's own scimitar. No has claimed it, but that's besides the point. With these blessings and the blessed, the monsters weren't wiped out, much to the world's dismay, but they were dealt with well enough. Common folk began calling their saviors 'The Voyagers', heroes blessed by the gods. Within multiple years, the entirety of Ouros began to change for the better. Voyagers became increasingly common, as well as Merchants to aid them. Yet, there was one thing that was the fuel to this flame. The main way the Gods survived, and their metaphorical food:

Mana.

Mana was the energy around us, the source of magic, as well as the energy of the gods. All beings had mana. From Humans, deers, swine, to even the dark invaders. The amount of mana you had  was a sign of your strength. Simply, the more mana one radiates, the more powerful they likely are. As more and more voyagers appeared, evil began to seep into them. Some were corrupt and killed for power, while others were pure and fought for justice. To separate the good and evil, the major kingdoms formed what was known as the Guild Alliance.

Aegis, Gungnir, Horunia, and Yeoui.

These four kingdoms came together and brought Ouros the guilds, small companies where Voyagers can be assigned quests, be a part of, and overall experience what it MEANS to be a voyager.

As more time passed, Voyagers began to be more of a profession than an act of one's heroic instinct. Instead of just choosing whatever weapons, classes began to exist as sort of types to Voyagers. There were swordsmen, Mages, Archers, Healers, and many more! These classes served as the start of modern Voyaging. And so, as of today, 70% of Ouros are voyagers, and the rest still serve their own purpose, of course.

However, there was one guild that stayed within hiding. One so secretive that only Death himself knew of its existence. One whom Death could trust to guard his weapon. A 'guild' that existed since the advent of magic.

The greater good.

Agent B-23 was having a rough day.

Then again, being one of the top 10 Voyagers to the outside world was a VERY difficult alibi to maintain.

The agent rushed through the halls of the facility, holding multiple papers in his arms. "Excuse me-sorry-coming through! Morning A-03!" B-23 continued rushing down the corridor, determined to get to the master of The Greater Good. They kept monitor of notable figures, like magical prodigy Ashley Oakgale, the king of Aegis and queens of Gungnir and yeoui, even minor gods. Yet there was one figure that was unlike all the others. One with no mana at all.

B-23 managed to reach the master's room and knocked on the door. A booming voice came from inside, causing B-23 to be even more nervous.

"Enter."

B-23 opened the door and entered, bowing and closing the door as he became face-to face with the Greater Good's leader, The Master. A bit on the nose but it works. "Greetings, my lord. I come bearing major news." B-23 hoped and prayed for the best. With that being the master listens, and the worse being he's beaten for disturbing the master. Silence passed for a bit before The Master spoke again. "Agent B-23, you come bearing news, yet I have not heard any yet. Rise and speak."

"Of course, my lord."

B-23 rose from their kneeling position and began speaking. "We were monitoring the Morrigan family when we noticed something of major notice." The agent took a deep breath before continuing.

"Their child has no Mana."

The master stayed silent, contemplating. A being with no mana? That hasn't existed since the dawn of the gods, perhaps even further. It would be a dangerous world for them. The master was intrigued. He had potential, no doubt, but it wouldn't be enough.  "Perhaps we shall use Experiment THR-1000 on them. It's a cruel world, after all." The master spoke. B-23 was in disbelief. "But-sir-the system, i-it's still being prototyped! You cannot possibly think we should use it n-"

"YOU DARE DEFY MY ORDERS?"

B-23 swallowed their pride and nodded, dreading to anger the master. "Understood, my lord. We implement it at once." B-23 bowed before leaving the room. The master chuckled as the agent left. He wasn't lying, the child was interesting. Maybe he'll see for himself how the kid will turn out.

Today was rough, but it just got rougher.

In a small house in Aegis, the one that would break the world's status quo was simply asleep, unaware of his fate.
