In a field of red spider lilies sat a younger girl with snow white hair , cloud purple eyes and a bright gummy smile.

You were five years old and you'd already found yourself in love with the world around you. Particularly the abundance of nature and it's beauty.

When your parents were to busy to catch you and the maids were away serving you would slip away from your chores and into the mansions backyard.

Your older brothers , Izuku and Izumi , the twins, older than you by ten years , often found themselves responsible for your little adventures.

Such was the size of the yard that you could easily lie down and not be found for hours.

It was almost like a maze of dreams in your little mind, such so that you pretended to get lost in the flowers until either your mother , father , or siblings marched out to get you.

Today , earlier than usual, you woke up to get a quick look at the field before your mother and you would attend a little gathering of friends hosted by the Lady Kitbutsuji.

"My sweet child, it's time to go." Your mother called from the door outside your mansion.

You'd attended many things like this with your mother , dressed in the finest the Heian era had to offer.

The gissha sat in the yard with your samurai beside it on his stallion, Bumi.

Samurai Gyogumi was the Tokoyami bloodlines descendant. He is your father, Boruko Tokoyami's nephew. Your father took him as his samurai after Gyogumi trained under his late father for years , the young Samurai was your favorite cousin, because he was not annoying.

His younger sisters were another story entirely, and sadly, they would be attending the gathering with you and your mother as the daughters of your aunt Izochi.

The twin girls, Oddette and Marionette , were little daddies girls as Gyogumi said to you.

They would cry and eat everything they wanted, but you were different and that why they felt threatened by you.

All it took for people to gush over the beautiful daughter of the Tokoyami Daimyo was her smile.

The sweet and innocent aura that surrounded you was magnetic in the way that people seemed to gravitate towards you.

When you were born many Daimyo's from different parts of Japan sent ravens to your father in hopes of creating a marriage in terms for their sons.

Your father, Boruko, a man that loved his wife with his entire life , knew better that to except such an opportunity at the expense of his little girl.

You plucked a vibrant red lily and walked with the grace and poise that you mother instilled you. You smiled up at your mother and took her hand.

Mitsuki smiled down at her little angel and ushered her into the gissha when the door was opened by her lady in waiting.

Your eyes sparkled as they took in the marvelous rice fields and the people in them, working hard and dutifully.

You saw a few of the ladies stop and giggle when your cousin Gyogumi passed by and giggled at his flustered face.

Your fanned yourself as the journey continued until you were finally at the gates of the Kitbutsuji manor.

At the gates dressed in a beautiful kimono was Gaitri Kitbutsuji, the lady of the manor and beside her stood her daughters.

You frowned in distaste as your cousin pushed you aside to step down and out of the gissha and held your composire in front of your mother and her friend.

Surely when they returned home, you would have your mother deal with them accordingly.

You and your cousins stood beside your mother and bowed at your hosts.

Gaitri smiled and bowed in return , walking forward to clasp her arm around your mother and gently guiding her into the manor.

The Kitbutsuji daughter following behind her without a glance at the three of you.

You bristled and shared a look of shock with your cousins, finally something you could agree on.

The rudeness of the Kitbutsuji girls.

You shook your head and thanked the gods for the manners your mother taught you.

Your cousin looped an arm through yours their empty ones holding their red fans and they walked into the manner with you.

Your samurai Gyogumi following dutifully.

"Y/N ,Muzan has requested your presence, dear child." Gaitri remembered as she turned from her conversation with your mother, her beautiful face soft and youthful as she smiled down at you.

You smiled brightly and excused yourself as you let the maids guide you towards the young lord.

You followed behind the maids and stood behind them as they rounded a corner and stopped outside of a closed door.

"Master Muzan, your guest is here." The pretty maid on the left called softly.

You looked around at the enterior design of the manor walls and smiled as you appreciated the fine art that lined the walls.

"Send her in and leave." Said a young boys voice from the other side of the closed door.

"As you wish." They maids casted you a warning look before bowing and a scurrying away.

You opened the door your  and bowed respectfully as you stepped in and closed the door behind you.

"Young Lord, you have requested my presence." You said as you rose.

Your froze as your meet the hardened glare of the Kitbutsuji heir. His blue eyes drifting down your small frma as he took in your appearance.

"So no lies were told. I see. I too would like to add myself to your list of future suitors, lady Tokoyami."

Muzan Kitbutsuji the only son , well, the only one that survived birth, of the reknown Lord Sion Kitbutsuji a warrior for the emperor's empire was avery cute  good looking boy in your book.

As his eyes studied you as did yours study him.

You took in his strange breathing patterns and the beads of sweat that lined his forehead.

You lowered your fan. "I would be honored to be your wife."

You didn't know why her bothered, your mother told you that he didn't have long to live. You'd met Muzan before and you'd found yourself sitting as still as a statue during his hour lecture. How he didn't need pity.

Since then you ever saw him as well. But people did not  understand.

Because they were small minded fools.

"You look alive ,Muzan."

Muzan frowned and slumped in exhaustion. "You always say this whenever meet. Say something less foreboding."

And this was how your adventure had started.

Getting to close to the sick boy.
