Taehyung's question was like a heavy blanket over them that Jungkook refused to acknowledge yet the pressure was there. He reeled back to his spot, his face now void of any emotion as he refused to say a word to the other actor who was obviously waiting for a response.
"Are you done?" Taehyung knew the man in front of him won't say a word. But somewhere, he did expect him to. That maybe, maybe he will say sorry, maybe he will be willing to get back together but of course he was wrong. Jungkook's silence is proving every passing second how wrong he was to think that the man who once loved him to the moon and back was the same as the one sitting in front of him.
"Dollie, I can't tell you-"
"Get out."
Jungkook expected this. He knows he have hurt him a lot and he won't make it worse by not respecting his boundaries. Nodding silently, he stood up and was about to call for Soobin, but the man came out himself and for a moment both the ex-boyfriends thought what the actor was doing inside to look like he just won a war. And their question was answered when a bright red Yeonjun walked out following him, looking anywhere but at Soobin.
Taehyung noted down instantly to talk to his brother about the strange hatred he has against Soobin for him to stay with the actor in a room for so long.
"I think I should leave now, hyung. Bye, pouty." The said pouty looks like a deer caught in head lights after hearing his name called by. Taehyung's suspiciousness isn't fading a bit.
"Sure, though I would love to have a conversation with you someday, Soobin. Let's hang out soon." Taehyung really meant what he said because he has heard a lot about everyone getting smitten by the young actor's charisma and want to see if it's real, also because Soobin is someone close to Jungkook obviously and now getting close to his brother too. Man's really making relation with all the important people in Taehyung's life, it's about time he himself gets to know him.
Jungkook didn't need any salutations and was sure he isn't getting any too. Soobin's arms around his shoulder he walked out of the house with a long face which didn't go unnoticed by the other actor who squeezed his shoulder lightly to break him out of his lonely world. "Cheer up, hyung. You can't be mopping around just by this, when clearly you are at fault. That's like a murderer getting sad after being accused of murder."
Okay, Soobin's words didn't really cheer him up, nor the comparison, but it was better having someone beside you who understands your situation. Out of everyone, he didn't really expect Soobin to be the one to bond with when he was rolling at the bottom and was more than surprised to know the man is somewhere worse than him, if left unsupervised or provoked. Though he knows Soobin would say otherwise if asked.
None of the two are ready to accept that they are the darkest shade among each other so the push and pull continues. The sole reason they are together at a bar right now, chugging down the liquid, burning their throats while getting off the sensation.
"He is ready to hang out with a stranger but not his b-boyfriend!!"
"Ex-boyfriend! And I am not a stranger...I am....I am his brother-in-law. So, our bonding is n-necessary!!"
This is the 6th time they are having this conversation, even the bartender has each word memorized. Jungkook is troubled by the fact that his ex-boyfriend–as corrected by Soobin–is ready to go out with a man he never met. And the latter is more than happy since he is going to bond with his brother-in-law.
"You aren't even Yeonjun's boyfriend!"
"At least I am not his ex!!"
"Choi Soobin!!!"
Unknown to them, a man was standing not a feet away from them, hearing their gibberish for last 20 minutes.
"Fucking idiots."
Taehyung didn't mean to come here. But when the bartender who is a close friend of his called him after hearing his brother's name in their conversation and told him how wasted the two are, he had to be here without his consent.
And it's not like he is going to suffer alone. His brother is right beside him wearing a suit unlike the night suit he is wearing, while boring holes in him. "Oh, come on, we just have to dump them in car and....and...." He never thought about the next plan. Good for him, his brother did. "And dump them in Choi's apartment since it's not far from here."
Taehyung doesn't even want to know why or how his brother knows about the actor's address.
"You will pick up Jungkook, I will-" The eldest between them started only to be scoffed at by Yeonjun who then went even further by rolling his eyes at his brother. "Hyung....it would be a miracle if you could handle that asshole over there, forget about getting that giant out of here alone. Leave him to me."
Yeonjun wasn't wrong. So, as much as he doesn't want to. He would have to suck it up and drag his ex out of here. If he can, that is. Since they both look no better than a dead weight right now.
So here he was, trying to wake up a passed out drunk man. "Uh...J-Jungkook. Jungkook...Yah! Jeon Jungkook!!" Taehyung wasn't sure how to make the man stand up but when he realized there's no way he can have a conversation with him, he sighed and put an arm around his shoulder before pulling him up. "Let's get you home...fucking kid."
As Jungkook stood up with Taehyung's help, peeling open his eye lids with so much force to take a look at who's beside him, a delighted lazy smile stretched on his face, his bunny teeth peeking out. This made the latter smile too at the cuteness until the actor decided to open his mouth.
"Nurse Matilda!!" Taehyung was just about to drop the man on the floor hearing the name he called. Aren't people supposed to recall their lovers while being drunk or something they are regretting? Who calls a nurse when the ex they want to win over is right beside him?
"Nurse, I swear I didn't r-run!!" Taehyung almost threw him down when he thought what the other was talking about. But as far as he remembers, Jungkook was never into roleplay. Did he started preferring it in past one year? Who did he meet, is it the nurse he is talking about?
"Hyung, save mee!!!"
His wild running thoughts vanished when he heard his brother screaming from the back. Taehyung remembers someone saying, he said he won't have any trouble with Soobin. But when he looked back, it seems there's more than trouble because the actor had Yeonjun on his lap like a toy and refused to loosen up his hold even when the bartender tried to pull him off.
Just when Taehyung thought one idiot was enough. He was too sober for this shit.
Dropping Jungkook finally who's too busy thanking his nurse Matilda, Taehyung walked back to the bartender who forwarded him a vodka shot, as if the latter knew one needs alcohol in their stream to handle this chaos. Chugging down the liquid, he turned to Soobin who kept his wiggling brother on his lap forcefully despite Yeonjun's all attempts to get out of his hold without causing any harm physical harm to the drunk man.
Yeonjun's too cautious at times. Good for him, his older brother is there for him when it happens.
Taking another filled shot glass, this time instead of drinking it Taehyung poured it down his palm like water, before swinging it as hardly as he could and slapped the actor on his face, because sweet or not, no one fucks with his brother.
The wet slap must have hurt like bitch because Soobin sobered up pretty quick after that.
