"Buck, we came in at the wrong angle." Bobby told Buck as Buck stood on the ladder of the fire truck, "I'm gonna have you climb up there, harness him in, and hang tight while we move the truck. You think you can handle that?' Bobby asked him as Buck looked back up at the guy hanging from the roller coaster.
"Hell yeah. This daredevil hero stuff is what I signed up for, Bobby." Buck told him with a smile.
"Good." Bobby said and Buck turned and started his way up the ladder.
"I've got a bad feeling about his." Harry shook her head as Buck got off the ladder and started climbing the roller coaster.
"Hey, Bobby, he's asking about his friend." They heard Buck through the radio.
"Chimney, it's captain, you copy?" Bobby asked his radio.
"Copy, captain. What do you need?" Chim asked.
"How's the kid on the ground?"
"We lost him."
"All right, I don't need the people up there seeing that. So, do me a favor; He survived, right? Get him on a gurney. You know the drill. Harry will drive the ambulance over to you guys to load him up." Bobby looked at Harry who stood beside him.
"What? No, I'm staying and watching Buck." Harry shook her head and Bobby gave her a look, "Fine." She said and climbed down off the engine.
"Thank you!" Bobby called after her.
She went and got the ambulance and drove it over to Chim and Hen. She got out opening the back and pulled the back board and gurney out. She gave the back board to Chimney and he slid it under the guy. Hen, chim, and Harry all grabbed the side's of the backboard and put it on the gurney. They grabbed the gurney and put it in the back of the ambulance.
"Chim, you drive." Harry told him and he climbed up into the front. Hary watched out the front glass watching Buck talk to the guy on the roller coaster.
"Come on, Buck, come on buck." Harry said as they ambulance was parked and they all got out watching Buck and talk to the guy.
They watched Buck reached his hand to the guy, but instead of grabbing Buck's hand the guy just let go. They watched him fall and hit the track then the ground. Dying on impact as everyone around them gasp and screamed.

They were waiting for Bobby to finish cooking food as Harry sat down across from Buck at the table, who stared at his empty cup. Chim walked over setting food down in front of him.
"I'm not hungry." Buck said.
"Buck, yes you are. You need to eat." Harry told him and he looked up at her.
"I was right there. You know, all he had to do was reach up and grab my hand." Buck shook his head.
"People do funny things at times like that. Sometimes they just freeze up. Harry did it on the first job. Now look at her." Chim said sitting down beside Harry.
"I've never loss anyone before. Does it get any easier?" Buck asked.
"No." Bobby said from where he stood washing a cup.
"Look, people die, and that's part of the gig, right? See, your problem is, you're looking at every job like it's a long term relationship. They're one nigh stands, man." Chim told Buck making Harry shake her head.
"That's the stupidest example I've ever heard." She told him and he just stared at her then continued on.
"In that moment, they mean everything to you, but once the morning comes, it's onto the next one." Chim snapped his fingers sitting back in his chair.
