The next few days at the BAU were filled with the usual hustle and bustle. Penelope Garcia found herself looking forward to the little moments she shared with Luke Alvez, whether it was a brief conversation in the break room or working together on a case. Their growing connection was a bright spot in the often dark and demanding world of their work.

One evening, after a particularly grueling case, the team decided to go out for drinks to celebrate their success. They chose a lively bar not far from the office, a place where they could unwind and enjoy each other's company outside of work.

Penelope arrived a little late, having stayed behind to finish up some reports. When she walked into the bar, she immediately spotted her colleagues gathered around a large table, laughing and talking. Luke was among them, his smile lighting up the room. As soon as he saw her, he waved her over.

"Hey, Garcia! We saved you a seat," he called out, patting the empty chair next to him.

"Thanks, Alvez," Penelope replied with a smile, making her way to the table.

The evening was filled with laughter and camaraderie as the team recounted stories and shared jokes. Penelope felt a warm sense of belonging, grateful for her friends and the bond they shared. As the night wore on, the music in the bar picked up, and people started to dance.

"Do you dance, Garcia?" Luke asked, leaning in so she could hear him over the music.

"I do," Penelope replied, her eyes sparkling. "But I'm not sure I'm any good at it."

"Let's find out," Luke said with a grin, standing up and offering her his hand.

Penelope hesitated for a moment, then took his hand and let him lead her to the dance floor. The music was upbeat and lively, and soon they were caught up in the rhythm. Penelope found herself laughing as Luke spun her around, his energy infectious. They moved together effortlessly, their bodies in sync.

As the song ended, a slower tune began to play. Luke didn't let go of Penelope's hand; instead, he pulled her closer, his other hand gently resting on her waist. Penelope's heart raced as they swayed to the music, the world around them fading away.

"You're a great dancer," Luke murmured, his eyes locked on hers.

"Thanks," Penelope replied, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks. "You're not so bad yourself."

They continued to dance, the closeness between them growing with each passing moment. When the song ended, they reluctantly made their way back to the table, where their colleagues were cheering and teasing them good-naturedly.

"Looks like you two had fun out there," Emily Prentiss remarked with a wink.

"Just blowing off some steam," Luke said with a grin, though his eyes were still on Penelope.

As the night drew to a close, the team began to disperse. Luke walked Penelope to her car, the cool night air a welcome contrast to the warmth of the bar.

"Thanks for the dance, Luke," Penelope said, leaning against her car. "I had a great time tonight."

"Me too," Luke replied, stepping closer. "I enjoy spending time with you, Penelope."

Before she could respond, Luke gently cupped her face and kissed her. It was a soft, tender kiss that made Penelope's heart soar. When they finally pulled apart, they stood there, smiling at each other.

"Goodnight, Penelope," Luke said softly.

"Goodnight, Luke," she replied, her heart full of hope and happiness.

As Penelope drove home, she couldn't help but feel that something significant had changed between them. The night out had been more than just a chance to relax; it had been a step forward in their relationship, one that she was eager to explore further.
