During your streaming career, you've gone through different kinds of content. From the starter gaming streams where you'd sloppily play a whole game so you’d be able to promote the full and throughout showcase on Youtube. They didn’t gain a lot of views, though. The overall quality of your videos was subpar due to your amateur streaming setup and the numerous beginner mistakes you made. Moreover, you had developed a terrible habit of forgetting you were streaming altogether. For instance, you would tell your viewers that you'd take a break for a couple of minutes to go to the bathroom, but the reality was; you would use the bathroom, but the thought that you were streaming would completely slip your mind. All that in one stream made it hard to edit the live stream overall for the youtube videos. So, you gave up on that.

Further into your sad career, you tried cooking streams but they all failed miserably and resulted in many fires, awful putrid odor and spending most of your free time on cleaning the mess you previously made. While it made your growing audience laugh while you destroyed your kitchen, it was resulting in a lot of extra work. So, you put a pit stop to that.

You needed something that had you and your audience hooked. Something that would benefit you and give the viewers the entertainment they came for.

While the occasional donations were sufficient for your weekly income; you needed something that would add to that. You have an actual job outside of streaming but putting the fact that you live in the midst of Tokyo, the rent and bills are abundantly high. So, a little more money wouldn’t hurt anybody, especially not you—a teen living on her own. You spent hours doing research. What else could give you that go-to to money? You already crossed being a camgirl out of the long list, you’d do anything for money but selling your body was way over the line for you. Incels already watched you, you didn’t need to increase the growing number of those smelly man losers.

Then, you came across a tweet. Twitter is usually where desperate individuals get hooked on a scam and with your luck, it would’ve been way worse. However, it seemed to be the contrary—finally, you had found a literal gold mine. Bidding.

You didn’t know jack shit about Soccer so you began to bid on the first guy that came up on screen.

You failed.

You failed many, many times.

But those failing moments, where you watched your money slip away and disappear into nothing but pure victory to the other crazy gambler across the globe, they forced you to learn. You slowly became acquainted with the rules of both soccer and this risky game that had you on an on-going loop. What made you so addicted though? Why did you keep playing while having the fact practically written across your old screen that you were losing money rather than winning?

The attention.

The attention you gained once you began your losing streak was where your luck was directed towards this whole time. The ever growing viewer count watched you, a complete dumb fuck in soccer, brainlessly lose money. You feared that once you began to learn the rules of said game and become educated around the subject, you’d become overlooked once again. You were doing this for yourself, though. Why did you care so much about random shut-ins that would take hours out of their day to watch you act like a lifeless being on camera?
