According to Greek mythology, humans were once created with four arms, four legs, one head with two faces and one heart. Zeus, supposedly all powerful, felt insecure with these creatures roaming around. He quickly came to understand the supremacy they held, their bond making them stronger than they should be in the eyes of the God. His fear eventually motivating him to split humans in half, a ruthless act that would change the world forever.

Halves were condemned all around the place, scattered and strewn as far away as possible from each other. Two legs, two arms, one head and half a heart trying tirelessly to find the one they were once a part of. The one person who completed them, whose heart was so intricately interwoven with their own that it beat in the same rhythm. Their soulmate.

Many centuries have passed, the myth being just that- a myth. Still, there are unimaginable forces working in the universe. A second too late for the bus making you bump into your destiny, an hour too early on the plane making you meet the perfect stranger. We're all destined for someone, you see, the oldest most instinctual part of you recognizing who you would've been connected with if not for the God of the sky.

Have you ever heard the expression;
'When you know, you just know.'
Now you know where it originated from.
