TW: MENTIONS
OF FAINTING (?)

AMELIE WAS TIRED. Not only of school, but of everyone.

For starters, the night previous, Amelie and her friends thought it'd be a great idea to have a sleepover on a Sunday night. She couldn't sleep until four in the morning. Secondly, it was Monday. That spoke for itself.

To make matters even worse, she had gym first period. Amelie felt like the school staff were genuinely praying on her downfall. Seriously, what sane person forces a seventeen year old to go to a gym class first thing in the morning? On a Monday?

The singular win Amelie got from that was how she had one of her best friends in that class, Grace. Although it was eight in the morning, Grace didn't waste a second before starting to talk Amelie's ear off. Where she got her energy while running track, Amelie had no idea.

While Grace was talking about Gen Parker breaking up with Chris Sturiolo for a college guy, the man himself called out Amelie's name.

"Speak of the devil and he may appear," Grace mumbled to her before slightly turning to Chris with a fake grin plastered all over her face. "Hey, CS, heard Gen dumped you for a college dude, that true?"

Chris raised his brows. "Well, Grace, I heard you have a tail. Is that true?"

Amelie and Grace slowed to a stop. "Yeah, it's cute, like a pig. Wanna see?" she teased.

"I need to talk to Amelie." he said. "Alone."

She looked between the two before nodding and walking towards the doors which go into the school. "Yeah. If you need me, I'll be in the library, googling Drew Starkey shirtless."

     Amelie cringed. "Got it, Grace."

Once Grace left, Chris turned to Amelie with a somewhat sympathetic look covering his features, "Look, I just want to say that I appreciate it, but it's never going to happen."

"I'm sorry, what?" Amelie asked.

"See, from what I remember of that kiss was that it was hot, you know, for being in seventh grade," Chris started, "and I think that it's really cool that you think my eyes have a little bit of green in them."

Amelie stared up at him with a dumbfounded expression until she realised what was in his hand, then she wanted to curl up into a ball and die. He was holding a letter, the letter. As in the one she wrote for him a few years back. As in the one she never sent.
