Chapter 1: Defne Aydın

I woke up when I felt that someone was stroking my hair. I opened my eyes and saw a blurred view of someone sitting beside me on the bed. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I then looked at him and I shrieked.

"DENIZZZ??"

"When did you come back from Italy??"

"You didn't even tell me that you were coming."

I hugged him tightly and he smiled looking at my face.

"I missed you sooo muchhhhh!!"

I hugged him even more tightly and my eyes got watered. I started crying in no time. Suddenly his expressions changed and he got worried. He said.

"Hey!! Baby sis, what happened?? Why are you crying?? Did someone say something to you?"

I released the hug and wiped my tears senselessly. Due to this, my cheeks turned red. I said,

"No, actually I really missed you. You were away from me for 2 months. And you didn't even tell me that you were coming."

I looked at him angrily. He just laughed and kissed my forehead. He said,

"If I did tell you, then how would I see your surprised face?"

I opened my mouth to say something but suddenly my room's door opened and I saw my mother entering the room and looked at me angrily. I was confused about why she's looking at me like that? She said,

"Defne!! How many times did I tell you to not call your brother by his name? He's 6 years older than you. You should call him brother. And why did you scream like that? You should behave. You are no longer a child now."

I heard her saying that and tears collected in my eyes once more. I shook my head saying.

"I-i a-am so-sorry m-mum!"

She nodded. My brother hugged me and said to my mum.

"Mum!! Don't scold her like that. She just got excited to see me. She missed me very much. Am I right, def?"

I immediately nodded and my brother and mum laughed and I smiled. She came to me and hugged me lovingly and kissed my hair covered head saying.

"I know you missed your brother but you shouldn't scream. You're grown up now."

I nodded and my brother wiped my tears lovingly and said.

"You should go and freshen up, I have something big to tell you."

He whispered the last line and curiosity rose in me. I immediately nodded and went to the bathroom to freshen up. Deniz and mum also leave my room.

When I came into the dining hall, everyone was sitting and waiting for me. I immediately wished everyone Good Morning and sit beside Deniz. Everyone smiled looking at me because the previous day, I was really sad. And now I am again energetic. My mother served me breakfast but I said,

"Mum!! I want to eat from the plate of deni- I mean brother."

My mum smiled and nodded and the maid served everyone breakfast. Can, with whom I usually sit whenever deniz is not home, stares at me angrily. I ignored him and whispered in Deniz's ear.

"Deniz! What's the big news?"

He looked at me smiling and said.

"I am getting married this month."

And I was so shocked and excited that I screamed loudly.

"WHAT??? REALLY!!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!"
