Support Course Mineta

The Beginning

Its Mineta's usually after school walks in the evening, after all the classes and daydreaming and training and lots of homework that had been done. This walk would usually lead him to standing outside on the rooftop for hours until the sun started to go down. Today wasn't the case, Mineta's steps echoed the empty hallways most students in their dorms or having fun with their friends. Mineta, felt numbed even after the changed he was still avoided and treated like an outcast it wasn't fair, he knew they wouldn't treat him nice but leaving him left out in sleepovers or group hang outs was low.

These walks were supposed to help him clear his mind from that so he can get through the next day. The walk didn't last long as mineta hit something making him fall back making him hit the ground with a thud. Mineta immediately looked up to see who the person was and he was met with Hatsume Mei, a support course student. "Sorry, I'm such a clucks when in my thinking mod." Hatsume said looking at Mineta holding out her hand to help him out. Mineta took her hand standing up, "Yeah it's fine it happens to the best of us." Mineta said looking up at her.

Hatsume looked down at him, raising an eyebrow. "What's going on with you, I can tell when something's wrong with someone, wanna talk about, I can listen I'm a great listener, I promise." Hatsume rambled out and mineta blinked at her, "You do know who I am and my reputation right aren't like gonna not talk to me or just like ignore me?" Mineta asked, Hatsume shaked her head with a smile. "I won't you look like you need someone to talk to." Hatsume said, mineta's eyes glistened, "I..I would really like that." Mineta said as Hatsume nodded her head as the entered her work room and sat down, "Talk." Hatsume said.

Mineta looked at her, he kinda hesitated before taking a deep breath, "Well, I'm sure you're aware of my change in behavior and I've changed I swear but it doesn't seem to be enough, now, I'm being left out in everything and it's numbing." Mineta explained a few tears rolling down his cheek. "Oh, so after all that you had to go through from the change it was all for nothing as they just made you feel like a outcast." Hatsume blurted out and mineta eyes widen and he nodded. "Yeah, I understand how that can get sad...' Hatsume said as she trailed off before and idea popped in her head.

She stood up going to her drawer opening it taking out some paper and pencils as she sat back down giving mineta the pencil and paper she just brought. Mineta raised and eyebrow, "What am I supposed to do with this?" Mineta asked confused. "When I feel sad or I need to let out some emotions, I draw a new design for a hero costume or just for upgrades entirely, so you try design some for you." Hatsume told him and Mineta picked up the pencil, sliding the paper in front of him as he started drawing. It felt unnatural for mineta to be drawing but it felt so natural at the same time.

It was like mineta's hand was moving on his own, now he wasn't just drawing it was a design for a suit upgrade. Hatsume watched mineta as he drew noticing the design is the exact same as denki's hero suit. Mineta out down the pencil admiring his work, smiling proudly looking at hatsume as she also gave him a smile. "I don't feel numb anymore, I feel happy." Mineta said, 'Exactly now here comes the best part, what did you design?" Hatsume asked with smug smile watching mineta eye lit up. " Well it's a upgrade for denki's suit, if you look right there in the neck area there is two small bolts, which take or give electrical energy.' Mineta started to explain.

"So I was thinking if the bolts were there then denki wouldn't short circuit as much because the bolts easy out the electric voltage he shoots." Mineta finished. " that's great analysation, the design looks so nice and clean." Hatsume complimented looking at the drawing. "Thanks, Hatsume." Mineta said. "Nah, it's fine everyone needs a little push but hey, since it's getting late how about tomorrow you come by same time we can work on your design see how it works." Hatsume suggested and mineta eyes widen as he looked at his drawing, 'Oh...no I'm not an inventor like you." Mineta quickly said.

"listen, I know creative mind when I see one, and you've it got just stop, you wouldn't know if you didn't try right?" Hatsume asked and mineta nodded, looking up at her with a small smile. "Your right, I wouldn't if I don't try, I'll be here and thanks for the advice Mei." Mineta said leaving, his drawing still laying the work table as they  waved each other off. Mineta walked back to the dorms, his mood and spirit seeing a better light than usual. When he opens the door to the dorm room he was met with his classmates having a sleepover without him. "It kinda made him feel numb again before he remembered the plan for tomorrow afternoon.

Mineta walked passed the class as their eyes followed him before mineta disappeared into his dorm and they shrugged it  off and went back to their sleepover. Mineta brushed his teeth as he slipped into his room shutting his eyes for the next morning it was gonna be the best, this was the beginning of something creative.
