Chapter six

Amber's POV
When I woke up from my nap with Cody and walked downstairs his mom said "is Cody still asleep?" I said "yeah he is he didn't sleep well last night" Cody's mom said "yeah I'm sorry I didn't buy a full size bed until today" I said "your fine" I walked into the kitchen to see Cody's dad eating cereal I said "hello" Cody's dad said "hi" I grabbed some strawberries and ate them when I turned around Cody smiled and said "I knew you were down here when I didn't find you next to me on the bed" I said "yeah I woke up and I didn't want to wake you up so I came down here" Cody said "alright well thank you for letting me sleep I was really tiered" I said "your welcome want to go outside it's snowing" Cody said "yeah let's go" I said "alright let me change my clothes and get my boots on" Cody said "alright" I ran upstairs and got ready to go outside when I walked back downstairs Cody's mom was sitting on the couch in her computer playing solitaire I said "is Cody outside?" Cody's mom said "yes he is" I said "thank you" Cody's mom said "you're welcome" I walked outside to see no one out there I yelled "Cody?" I walked into the snow when I felt someone grab me I yelled "put me down" Cody said "relax it's just me" he put me down I said "you can't do that I thought I was getting kidnapped" Cody said "I'm sorry" I laid in the snow and did a snow angel when Cody threw a snowball at me I got up and said "oh it's on" I grabbed a ball full of snow and formed it into a snowball then I threw it at Cody he said "hey" is smiled and said "you started it" Cody said "let's go inside it's cold" I said "alright when we walked inside I took off my boots and walked upstairs to get changed when Cody walked into the room he was shirtless I said "hello Mr" Cody said "hi" Cody put a shirt on and we walked downstairs to the kitchen to go get some hot chocolate Cody said "let's go watch Christmas movie tomorrow we can go get Christmas tree" I said "okay what do you want to watch" I walked into the living room with Cody behind me and we sat on the couch and Cody grabbed a blanket and put it over us when his mom walked downstairs she said "ohhh look at you two" I said "hi" Cody said "we're gonna watch Christmas movie do you want to watch one with us?" Cody's mom said "sure what movie?" Cody said "let's watch the black and white version of it's a wonderful life" I said "that's a good Christmas movie" Cody's mom said "I see you guys are drinking hot chocolate" I said "yeah" I snuggled into Cody's chest and he played with my hair which the feeling was soothing when I closed my eyes Cody said "oh she's asleep" Cody's mom said "no she's not she's falling asleep because that feeling is soothing to her she has never felt that feeling probably you have to protect her with all your heart" Cody said "don't worry about her I will" I looked up at Cody and said "when we go to the room can we talk?" Cody said "yeah is everything okay" I said "yeah it's just since your mom mentioned the topic of keeping me safe I thought I should tell you about my ex" Cody's mom said "uh oh the crazy ex huh" I said "yeah" Cody said "alright" I looked at Cody and he said "I won't hurt you I want you to know that" I said "I know" Cody's mom left after we were done with the movie and me and Cody went upstairs and I told him about Cameron it was hard to talk about him but I had to tell Cody now that we were dating Cody grabbed my hand and said "let's go decorate a gingerbread house to take things off your mind" I said "alright" we walked into the kitchen and started decorating the gingerbread house while Cody was putting candy on one side of the house I smeared frosting on his face Cody picked me up and kissed me all over the face I said "stop it your getting frosting all over my face" Cody said "you got what you deserved" I smiled and Cody put me down when his dad walked into the kitchen he said "woah what happened in here?" I said "me and Cody are decorating the gingerbread house and I smeared frosting on his face and he didn't like that so he got me back" Cody said "here let me help you clean that off your face" I said "yeah let me help you too" once I went we're cleaned up I said "hey do you have Darla's number?" Cody said "yeah why?" I said "I need to know what she wants for Christmas?" Cody said "alright here" Cody gave me Darla's number when she answered I said "hey Darla it's me Amber I would like to know what you want for Christmas?" Darla said "wait really your gonna buy me a Christmas gift?" I said "yeah why wouldn't I?" Darla said "come people don't buy me Christmas gifts um I would like a purple hoodie and bath and body works or is that too expensive?" I said "no that's fine I could buy you that" Darla said "alright what do you want?" I said "you can get me a soft blanket that would be great gift" Darla said "thanks baby I love you" I said "I love you too"when she hung I looked over at Cody and he looked mad I said "what?" Cody said "who did you say I love you too?" I said "Darla why?" Cody looked shocked and said "wow okay" I said "is that a problem?" Cody said "no it's not" I walked over to Cody and gave him a kiss on the cheek Cody said "can I get a kiss on the lips?" I smiled at him and said "yeah sure" I pulled him in for a kiss and he pulled me on top of him I said "Cody no" Cody said "whyyy" I said "because your parents are in the next room now keep it in your pants" Cody said "your mean" I said "I'm sorry but maybe later on tonight?" Cody said "wait really" I said "not all the way but yeah sure" Cody said "I'm not pressuring you but when  do you want to go all the way?" I said "when I'm married" Cody said "alright will you marry me" we both laughed and I said "yeah sure" Cody said "I was just joking" I said "I know so was I" Cody said "so you don't want to marry me" I said "maybe in the future but not right now" Cody said "makes sense" Cody's mom came downstairs and said "are you guys ready for dinner?" I said "yeah I'm hungry" Cody said "me too" Cody's mom said "tonight we're having pizza" Cody said "alright" when Cody's mom walked into the kitchen Cody said "we'll finish this later on?" I said "yeah".
