Roaming through the quiet library frantically searching for her passion with the latest book of her favourite author, "Faceless Mortal"; a fake name but an intriguing one.
After searching for a few minutes which felt like hours, she found it. The only book left.
"Finally!" She whispered to herself.
Reaching her hand out to grab it, but it was long gone in a blink of an eye. Confused and fury build up in her.
"What the fuck?"
She saw a tall figure from the gap where the book was once kept, seeing the man flipping through pages of her desire.
Not wasting a single minute she went to the other side demanding the book. The only escape for her from the reality.
"May I have that book back?" Trying to be polite as possible.
"No." The stranger said. "Why should I?"
She was taken aback by the arrogant behaviour. "Because I laid my eyes on it first." A bold answer she thought. But not bold enough to convince him.
"But I grabbed it first, dwarf."
Her annoyance turned into anger "Who are you calling a dwarf!?"
He smirked. "Do you see anybody shorter than you here, dwarf."
"YOU-!!" She exclaimed.
"What a rare sight, an angry dwarf." He snickered.
She was about to curse at him but stopped herself. "Listen. I'm only here for the book, you can buy it online too, you know."
"If it's available online then why don't you buy it?" A clever question.
"Because it will take time to arrive and I can't wait." She's sounding genuinely frustrated
"I'm not a patient person myself, dwarf."
"Argh.. what a pain in the ass" She thought.
"Here you can have the book back. I only wanted to see the quality of it, dwarf" He said suddenly
"What!? You could have said that earlier! Why create a scene?!" She was now visibly annoyed
"Just wanted to have a little fun with an angered dwarf~" He ended the sentence with an annoying smirk
"YOU-!" She yelled, but before she could say further he put a finger on her lips
"You don't want to make noise in the library, do you?" That annoying smirk never left his face
Slapped away his hand "Just give me the book back."
"And what will I get in return?" Says with an ignorant smile
She stared at him blankly, thinking of things he can ask her to do from innocent to dirty ones. But she just can't let the book she has been so eagerly been waiting for so long slip away. So she gave in. "Sighs Fine... what do you want."
"Be my fake girlfriend." He said with a straight face
