It was very grim that morning. Almost like the weather had been waiting for this exact day to be unpleasant. They walked quickly through the crowded train station. The rain fell eerily and made Aradia lose her train of thought and slow down her fast pace .
"Aradia keep up, please." Draco said, striding ahead of her and Scorpius. He disliked muggles and tried to get through them as quickly as possible.
"Sorry, father," She answered, with a noticeable shaky voice.
It was Aradia's first year at Hogwarts and she was very perturbed. She was awfully worried that she would get lost or get into another house other than Slytherin. Mostly, because she was frightened to let her father down, after the death of her mother, Astoria. It had been very hard for all of the Malfoy family. But, it was especially difficult for Draco and Scorpius. By the Daily Prophet, Scorpius was publicized as Voldemort's son (which was a rotten lie). Draco was very upset too. Other than being his wife, she was his savior. His rebellion. His life. She knew even the deepest darkest depths of him. The kindness and love he really had in his heart. Something that Aradia didn't see in her father yet. Aradia also knew that just the other year, Scorpius had gotten closer to their dad, which made her feel like an outsider. It looked like he could actually have a conversation with him. But, as she thought about this it made her feel worse. She was snapped back into reality when her father and brother disappeared through the barrier. She followed in their footsteps walking right through the brick wall. All of her senses were all of the sudden filled with the smoky atmosphere of Platform 9 ¾ . She caught up with her father and brother who clearly didn't notice that she had fallen behind.
"Look! It is Albus!" Scorpius said, loosening the tense feeling. He practically ran over to Albus and they hugged. Aradia watched as her father and Harry Potter looked each other in the eye with half hatred and half relief.
"Malfoy," Harry said, trying to be civil.
"Potter," he said back.
After their encounter the other year, they seemed to grow ever so slightly closer.
"What a twink, Albus is. They haven't seen each other for a few months and yet they are all over each other, " James comments , loud enough for Albus and Scorpius to hear.
They both sprang apart hearing that. Scorpius' face flushed. James just smirked as he knew Harry and Ginny would be at his throat in a second.
"James Sirius Potter! That is a very sadistic word to use against your brother. He is....er.... So what if he is?," Harry stumbled trying to think of what to say.
"Dad....," Albus started
"What he was trying to say is that it doesn't matter if he is or isn't. We will always love him the same," Ginny interrupted. Everyone knew it was directed sharply at Harry.
It was super awkward and unsettling. Scorpius was obviously embarrassed. Trying to comfort him Albus began, "We are just friends. Plus, Cory is head over heels for Ro...."
"E'llo lads!" Ron greeted. Harry just started to notice the gray strips in Ron's bright red hair gleaming in the light of the train station. God they were getting old.
"Harry! Ginny! Have not seen you in ages," Hermione announced cheerfully.
The Golden trio back together. Nothing could happen that they couldn't fix. Or else they thought.
Looking over at Draco, Ron whispered, "Should we discuss the elephant in the room."
"Draco, I'm guessing," Ginny gestured at him.
"His son is just friends with our son. That is it," Harry said quickly.
"Then who is she?" Ron said, pointing at Aradia.
"It's his daughter, Aradia," Hermione said.
"Who is he with now then?"
"Nobody. She is his and Astoria's other child. They had Aradia just before she died"
Aradia heard that and cringed. Am I someone else's daughter? Am I not a Malfoy? Maybe the rumors were true? Just not about Scorpius. Was it about me? Whatifwhatifwhatif... She thought and thought about this, but her thought bubble burst once again as she heard a snarky sounding female voice booming from right next to her.
"Hello Albus!" Rose Granger-Weasley said. She then looked at the slender figure of Scorpius and nodded in his direction. It looked more like a funny little spasm than a nod.
"Scorpion king," she unwillingly greeted Scorpius.
Scorpius gave a little wave and looked down to hide his blush. Albus, now looking bored and a wee little bit jealous, replied trying to start a conversation, " So, are you guys ready for our O.W.L.s? I don't know about you, but I am not ready at all."
" I am totally ready. I did all of my studying over the summer. What about you, snake boy?" Rose asked in the same snarky voice as before.
"I am...um...not...er....I don't really know?" Scorpius replied, looking down at his feet again. Aradia could tell he was going into autopilot while talking to her.
"Charming. Well I–" The train whistle blew and cut into what Rose was saying. Aradia was so relieved. Rose was actually quite annoying. Unlike his sister Hugo was much quieter and humbler than her. I mean when she is always talking how could you get a word in?
The train compartment was very big compared to normal ones though, it looked completely normal. Aradia sat alone seeing as her brother probably would not want to sit with his sister. She waved goodbye to her father, who looked slightly uncomfortable standing in the crowded train station. When the train pulled far away from the station Aradia sat down in her seat. A few minutes later, a girl popped her head.
"Hello! May I sit here?" the girl asked. Aradia nodded and she sat down in front of her.
"My name is Aradia. Aradia Malfoy." Aradia said, sticking her hand out to shake.
"Bless my Merlin! You're a Malfoy! Sorry, my name is Nyx Carrow." she said, eagerly shaking her hand.
Aradia had heard the name Carrow before. She remembered her father saying something about them. Then she remembered and looked up with a delayed surprised look on her face.
"Yeah. I knew you would figure it out. My Mother and father are Flynn Carrow and Hestia Carrow. My father took my mother's last name," Nyx said.
" Oh... I knew I recognized that name," Aradia said, her face still twisted slightly.
" Also, my grandparents were death eaters with your father and grandparents," she added.
No wonder she recognized the name. They were death eaters. The Carrow family was loyal to Lord Voldemort.

Chapter notes:
hello!!!! i hope you enjoyed that chapter! they will hopefully start getting longer as the timeline progresses. anyways, i really wanted to give Scorpius a sibling of some sort, so i present to you Aradia Offa Malfoy. a geeky, small, overthinking kid who just wants to have a better connection with her brother and father. i looked up that name and it means Moon Goddess or "Queen of the Witches", and i feel like that was a fitting name. also i wanted another kid from a former death eater family. so, may i also present to you, Nyx Carrow and her father Flynn. i really am not very inclined to the next gen or golden trio era that much. i am more of a marauders era kind of gal so, just keep that in mind. anyways, i will be posting soon. Byeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! :)
