A new beginning

chapter 8

"you always have to be atleast an hour earlly at a meeting"

"this is not a meeting its just a school , classes dont start until 8"

"renee, you have to have a good impression plus your in the scholls swimming team , you guys have an early frst hour session "

" i didnt even sleep well" i complain 

"what were you doing all night?" she asks getting out of the car coming to my side 

" homework, doing some school stuff and chatting with friends"

she opens my car door and waits for me to come out 

"i can come out on my own " i remind her

"there is a step over here i dont want you to accidentally slip and hurt yourself"

i take the door handle and close the door from the inside, then open it afterwards just to get out of the door and prove to her that i would not fall

" you see ,i didnt fall"

"its because i was standing beside you" she says closing the car with her car keys "im sure half of the school is already here and you must be very late"

i ignore her and walk forward instead ,

"you do know it is still 6 05 am nobody is here" i point out 

"i remember where they showed me where the pool is" she says to me as she goes behind the school

" what, did they like you give you a full tour of the school all to yourself"

"yes, your dad and i came here before"

she doesnt wait for another word to come to my mouth before she tels me to follow her instead and she leads the way to the back of the school where our swimming pool was located . the only person who was around that the school was the janitor 

"excuse me" she says walking towards the janitor " my daughter came in for her swimming clases and im suprised to see that no one is here"

"goodmorning madam, i think you guys are a bit too early the school doesnt open up until 7 30"

"oh!"

"is she in the swimming team ?" he asks looking at me 

"yes"

" well i have the keys to get in their so maybe she can get in and wait until the rest of them come"

"i thought the swimming team comes in an hour early "

"oh no, they have the swimming session as their first lesson then they continue afterwards with the rest of their classes" his keys were jiggling off his hands as he opened te gate.

"you can come in dear" he tells me getting in 

"i think ill wait with you until your swimming coach arrives"

"ill be okay, you can just go to work "

"but you cant stay here unattended" she stares at me warningly 

" ill be around im sure shell be okay she can go change and have a quick few laps"

"no, my daughter doesnt know how to swim it will be dangerous for her"

i get on my feet and ask the janitor " where is the changing room?" 

"its right at the side over there " he directs me with a show of his hands were the changing room is and i walk away from them carrying the bag that had my costume,  after a quick change i walk right out
