I sat down next to her. and put the ballbetween my hip and arm on the opposite side of her. I glanced down at her before breaking the awkward silence.
"Look, I'm sorry for almost kissing you that day okay? I really am" I said shamefully. What was I thinking. why would she be interested in me? I'm a no-
"No, stop, that's all you've been doing around me" I narrowed my eyes down at her, confused.
"Doing what?"
"Apologizing" she paused "it's not your fault, I'm not going to lie to you. In that moment I wanted to kiss you just as bad as you, when I got home I started thinking. Justin I am not stable enough for a relationship. To make matters worse we just became friends" she turned her gaze from the floor to look into mine "Don't you think it would of been weird" she look down to play with her fingers
I had this itching feeling to take her face in my hands again but we all know how that would've ended up. "Selena look at me" I said
"No" she purred out so quiet, I almost missed it
"why?" I shifted on the bench embarrassed
"your eyes are too beautiful you'll make me want to kiss you again" she mumbled shyly
I don't think I was suppose to hear that
"now you see how feel" I told her
"huh" she asked scrunching her nose together confused
"you're so beautiful every time I look at you I want to kiss you " i told her truthfully trying to make eye contact with her
"Omg, you heard me" she covers her face from embarrassment
which made me laugh a bit
"its okay Sel" I said placing my free hand on her knee
after the redness on her face disappeared she moves her hands to look up at me
Finally
"You think I'm beautiful" she spoke up with a small smirk
Shit
That made the little bit of confidence I just had disappear, and blushed
"more than anything" I said getting my bit of confidence back
"Oh god" she blush turning her head to left, to try and hide her blush
"Listen" I said nudging her knee, to get her attention.
"I Get it you aren't ready for a relationship just yet and I respect that. I promised to help you so that's exactly what I'm going to do - that's what we're going to do. One step at a time alright?'' I ended my speech starring at the back of her head
Selena's POV
Lord have mercy on my soul
I couldn't even look him in the eyes so I
looked over to him to find him already looking at me
I diverted my stare to the middle of his forehead
I nodded my head up and down to answer him. Unable to speak
"here" he says releasing his grip on my leg
mentally frowning to myself. He holds out my ball towards me, so i went to reach for it. Just as i was about
to grab it he pulls it back
"promise to never avoid me again" he says with both eyebrows lifted on top of his head
"I promise" i say still starring at his forehead
"No, say it in a complete sentence" he said tilting his head to the side
giggling I finally say "I promise to never avoid you again"
"Good" and with that he tosses the ball in my lap.
making me gasp in surprise
*RINGGGG*
The lunch bell goes off to tell us that lunch is done that it was time to get to your afternoon classes. that's if you have them
I was so lost in space that it startled me when Justin spoke
"Have you eaten anything yet?" starring at me waiting on my reply
"Nope" I said rising up from the bench, preparing self to go change my clothes
"Okay, so lets go out for lunch. My treat" clasping his hand together like he was just as eager and hungry as me
but coming to think of it I don't think he had his lunch either so I agreed, and started making my way to the change room again
"Wait" he stopped me again
spun around on my heels to face him "uh-huh?"
Justin strolls over to me and stops in front of me. That makes me lean up to see his face. He places a index finger under my chin and tilts my head to the side
wtf
than places a open mouth kiss to my cheek for 3 seconds and pulls away, takes a step back and says
"Okay, now you can go" He grins down at my tomato redden face
okay he defiantly likes me
I was at loss for words all I could do was smile and walk off into the change room with a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. I had this feeling in my chest-wait not a feeling more like a desire but a desire for what?
No one and I mean NO ONE has ever made me feel like this, not even, dare I say it. Trey. An that's what scared me the most.
