Chapter 2:Misconceptions

Well, things only escalated. They were both really nervous and silent the next day. What had gotten into them? They'd usually meet up in their studio. And a few days after this, everyone had noticed. And some were concerned. So Marinette, being the Marinette she is, decided to ask Nathaniel.

He was just chilling on a staircase, sitting and listening to music. Then Marinette walked up to him. He took his earbuds out "Hey Nathaniel! I noticed, you haven't really talked to Marc. Did something go wrong?" She asked, trying to be polite and comforting. Nathaniel looked up at her. "Oh, I just don't really understand our current situation, so I'd rather just.. Leave it alone for now." She looked at him with a look of sympathy. "What situation?" He got startled by her question and looked at her for a second, then the floor. "I.. It's hard to explain, I don't really feel like talking about it,since I don't understand what's even going on.." He still looked pretty gloomy. "Oh uh-okay." She walked off to class while he stayed back, which he never does. What was up with him? She didn't know. And neither did he.

He went on with his day, until he saw Marc. He was gloomy before and thinking about him made it worse. But, looking at him, his sweet, shy, and innocent self, he was so perfect. It made Nathaniel feel better. He decided to talk to him.

He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "I.. I think.. Well we haven't really been talking and... It's gotten pretty stressful." The boy looked confused, but nervous as well. "Huh..?" Nathaniel was so lost in his eyes. Wait, what was he thinking!?

"Oh.. Uhm, just, uh, we've been splitting apart and I guess it's just strange for us to do." He was really nervous. But what was he even nervous about? Why was Marc making him nervous? What had changed? Something was up with the two. And neither of them knew what it was.

He was so conflicted with himself. Now Nathaniel comes into play? Marc started to understand something because somehow he started to blush a bit. He started to understand himself. He had a crush on Nathaniel. But he really just needed to know what he really felt first. "I just need a bit of uh... S-space right now. If that's okay." He was shaky. He got so upset with himself.

Why was Marc trembling? Why was his face so red? Was Marc scared? Of him? What was even going on? Nathaniel felt a bit more down, but he didn't know why. He soon started to feel weird, like he just wanted to do something...
