The wonder of my Dogs!!!!
“Hey mom can I get my own dog since everyone in the family had their own dog?” I asked
“Yes, lets go to the pound right after church.” My mom said.
It was a good life with my dog until he chased a fox. He got an incurable disease called mange. We tried everything to try to cure it. It was no use, he died one year later. I miss him so much because he was the best dog ever. I sometimes still cry about his death, but i still have his favorite squeaky toy. Than two months later....
My parents told my sister and me to get in the car for a trip.We drove through Southbury which seemed like hours ,but it only took two hours. We started to drive up into Massachusetts where we got onto the highway. We headed north.
My parents told me we are going shopping at the Christmas tree shop. Turns out we pass four different christmas tree shops. My parents pulled off and onto an exit where I found myself in an parkinglot.
My dad told me and my sister to close our eyes. My dad handed me a leash and he handed my sister dog snacks. I was so excited to get a new family dog. Twenty-five minutes later an enormous truck comes pulling up into the parking lot. A man came out of the truck and started to call dog names. Once he called Snowy my mom told me to give the man the leash and and when I did, he went into the trailer. A beautiful white dog came out.

When we got the dog in the car we headed for petco for the puppy to get cleaned. The worker said it would take two hours. When we came back to petco we got the puppy and then named him arctic. We brought him home to live happily with his new family.
Soccer
What is your favorite sport? Does it involve a ball? Well mine does. I love to play soccer. There are three main positions. The goalie, defense, and offense. There are many other positions.
Goalie
The goalie tries to block the ball from going into the goal. The goalie does this by diving or moving in front of the ball. Dr. Nik says “ Goalie is the most dangerous position in a game.”The goalie is the only ones to use their hands. They use their hands to block, punt, and protect the goal. To punt they run up and drop the ball down and then bring their leg up to meet it. They protect the goal by blocking the goal.
Defense
Defense can kick, save, be helpful, and be zonal defense. If the ball is down by the goalie, the defense will run and try to get the ball up to the offense. Without the defense, the offense would be working extra hard, and the goalie would be protecting more space. The defense is the second most dangerous position because they face the aggressive offense of the other team. They could get hurt more, and they have a large responsibility for the team.
Offense
Offense is aggressive, has to run a lot, and has to throw in the ball, and they score goals. You have to be aggressive to get the ball away from the other team. You have to run because you have to try to outrun the other team. When you outrun the other team, you should start running towards the goal. When you throw in the ball, try to keep your feet on the ground and swing your arms over your head. Your teammate will call for the ball and if they are open, pass the ball to them. To score a goal, you should try not to go into the goalie box because the goalie could slide and grab the ball.
So next time someone asks you what your favorite position in soccer, I hope you say goalie, defense, or offense. My cousin Ana Diehl says “Soccer has truly changed her life.” She talks about it all the time.
The Big Storm
Noah’s Dad asked him if he wanted to go fishing.
“Sure Dad, I would love to go, but can we take amanda?” Noah asked.
“Yes, why not.” said his Dad
When Noah asked amanda if she wanted to go with them amanda said “Yes I would love to.”
They were tying fishing hooks. They had to redo the string, which we forgot to do the opening day. They also had to buy worms and bait for fishing. They got the fishing poles and the tackle boxes in the car. They waited a little while to watch the weather. They saw nothing, nothing at all. They got in the brown BMW.
When they pulled out of the driveway, they headed south. They wanted to go to Twin Lakes, but they decided to go a different way. They went through multiple towns.
When they got to the Twin Lakes, they had to find the entrance to a school and when they found it, they headed down a windy road. They got to one of the lakes and they rushed to get started. Noah was so excited to bait his hook and get his line in the water.
Amanda, Noah, and his father caught tons of fish. They had let all of them go.they headed back home.When they reached the green in Litchfield, an announcer came over the radio and said that there was a Tornado Warning is in effect for Litchfield County! They pulled over and saw quarter sized hail. Out of nowhere, a tree fell down on top of a cop car. Noah put his head down and put his hands on top of his head. he was also worried about his mother that was still at work. Once his dad got around the fallen tree and drove for a little while, they saw some clouds that started to swirl around and the tops of trees started to spin. They got to Noahs grandmothers house and he was relieved and wasn't scared anymore.
