The kitchen's stark white and black contrast made it hard to miss the mess Matt was making. Still a bit freaked about his "all-knowing" powers he tried to focus his hands on his snack. "I know you're a bit scared, but I am truly God," the Counselor said earnestly. Matthew spread the smooth peanut butter on his sandwich. "Are you sure you don't have a God complex?" He bit down on his PB and J only to find he couldn't chew it. "What?" He peered down at the sandwich only to find it frozen?!?!

"Now that I got your attention, please, sit." The Counselor brought up a sturdy chair and sat down. Matt couldn't believe what he was thinking but he was scared. That man's face was twisted in untold emotion, his body though calm and relaxed. In a split second, the boy was sitting right across from the owner of the building. "Now, I do remember answering your private questions, and I know you have more." His body stiffed with his racing thoughts. "R-right." His voice sputtered and faded. The Counselor waited patiently, his ever-present smile returning.

The brunette rubbed the back of his neck. "Well...why do you want me to believe you?"

The Counselor simply sighed, "It's a bit long but I'll tell you a story. Do you remember Lucifer?" He nodded remembering the bible stories he was told in church. "He was perfect, just the way I wanted him to be." His body leaned forward, his arm holding his chin up as his mind went back to the unforgettable past. "He used to guard my

throne, a wonderful cherub who was very obedient." Matt tried his best to get a mental image but no dice. "He was also a great musician, but you know, things aren't meant to last...." There was a short amount of silence before he continued. "He wanted more. He wanted to be more. He wanted to be God."

Matt began to grow nervous as The Counselor's jaw clenched in anger and his nostrils flared. "I.I.I.I.I- is what his sentences began to start with, he couldn't stay there anymore. I had to kick him out along with some other angels who betrayed me." The Counselor leaned back and sighed. "Then he started to go after humans, I also had to kick Adam and Eve out too, it's a pity."

The teen's expressions were frozen between sadness and curiosity. Lowering his head, "I'm sorry." The Counselor sitting up turned to him and playfully slapped him on the back, "It's not your fault, besides, his day is coming." The sheer determination was a bit of sun on his clouded mind. "Yeah, I believe you, on that statement. You. It's going to take some time." The Counselor's smile once again appeared, "Take all the time you need."

Gabriel watched as Matt pathetically scrunched up in his pillow. "So, how did it go with The Counselor?" Lights out was at 11 pm. The dark room was only illuminated by a small night light in the corner next to the closet. Luckily, he installed that before Matthew came, or else he would've stepped on a tack, or a Lego set he just bought. Slowly turning to face the questioner he gave him a despondent glare, "Hey, do you think? -" He paused. "Never mind."

Gabriel raised his eyebrow, "Of course, I do."

Matt bit his lip, "But you don't even know what I was going to say. "He pouted childishly. The buff teen sighed like he was tired of explaining something simple. Once again, the teen kept
