"Did we really have to move mum?" I queried. I could've sworn that I've analysed everything and I still can't see the point in moving.
Sighing, she answered "I just thought it would be different, a new beginning... I just feel like...we need that, darling" she looked as if she zoned out. Having an awful flashback.
"Mum are you-" I was cut off in an instant by my rude twin sister: Akantha.
"You know this is hard for all of us... Especially after... What happened. Just carry on unpacking and stop complaining will you?" Well, her sassiness kicked back in quickly. Ugh.
"Isn't this going to be fun, girls? Being in a new town, a new start?" My mother chirped with the biggest grin on her face.
"Yeah~" I replied sarcastically.
"Just be optimistic about it all, I know you liked our previous house but it's time to move on" Easy for Akantha to say, she's always enthusiastic.
"All unpacked? I'm going to order pizza considering we have no food yet, I'll do the shopping tomorrow, okay?" Mum suggested.
"I'm not so hungry, I got some work to do, I want to finish decorating my room, but thanks anyway" I'm a sort of person that is practical and hard working. I might not seem it but I like to stay busy and get to work.
"More for me~" Akantha replied in a sing-song voice. Pig.
As I trotted up the stairs into my room, I noticed something that caught my eye...It was like a shadow, but as I turned around I couldn't see a thing. Oh well. Just my imagination, right?
However, what I did find was an balcony in my room, I walked up to the door and slowly turned the key, then opened the heavy door.
I stepped out onto the balcony only to be amazed by the beautiful view of a forest, along with a lake glistening due to the moonlight shining upon it. I looked up to gaze at the beautiful stars shining down at me.
I too was lost in a trance to realise the the door was softly shut and someone wrapped their arms around my waist... All I could feel was a cold breath fanning the back of my neck...
