The Ender Watchers

Prologue: where it all started

500 years ago

"The king and the crimson lady has taken their words lightly and now Celestia is trying to prove herself, the Imperial City and the Crimson Kingdom is currently under siege by Celestia, the comfort brought by peaceful times made them vulnerable and they're likely going to fall, this is only the beginning and Celestia is determined to go through their plans, to prepare for the attack and to fool Celestia, we stationed our soldiers on the outskirts of the Imperial City. Knowing the importance of the Gateways the neighboring cities and kingdoms volunteered to lend us some of their army, but they're keeping the bulk of the army at their homes for their protection, we don't know the full capabilities of Celestia. And that is why you're here, Sora" Skylor a stand in head for the Sakayanagi clan said to the Alberich Clan matriarch "I need you and the rest of the clans to travel to the heart of the Gateways and shut down the portals before any of the archons and their warriors discover it." Skylor commanded "Milady! Such drastic action can severe the portal network, our people needed the Gateways for everything and the rest of the clans will never approve of this" Sora tried to argue "We can't afford to lose all of our people and give Celestia what they want! should they discover the Gateways, they can instantly attack any region no matter how far, we don't have the consent of the rest of the clans but they must know that it's a necessary sacrifice" Skylor, acknowledging what the commander says the Alberich regent just nods and accepted the situation "Understood, milady!" Sora nodded in agreement just then a soldier teleported behind Skylor, with a salute the soldier hurriedly spoke out "Milady! The scouts have reported seeing the red cubes as well as meteors made out of geo energy surrounding the Imperial city" with a focused look, Skylor looks at Sora "It's time, best of luck to you riftblade" she said, Sora could only nod in determination grabbing the ender key she used her powers and teleported, shortly after Sora left Skylor signalled the soldiers to head into the battlefield. Now in the outskirts of the city, Skylor and the captain Ryzo is making their way to the front lines, when Morax appeared in front of them "Well well well it seems the reinforcements are tardy" Morax spoke his arms glowing with geo energy however this did nothing to the Ender Watchers as they are determined to protect the rest of the inhabitants of their home "Believing in someone of a divine figure isn't mandatory, geo lord! But a right! And we refuse to bow down to those who dare abuse it" Skylor shouted, standing for her beliefs, Morax only scoffed at this "Dissapointing, but then again what am I supposed to expect from a nation about to be destroyed, all of you are satisfied in living with the same boring status quo for thousands of years" as Morax spoke trying to convince the Khanreiahns to surrender, the soldiers only looked at him judgingly "Where are your dreams? Your ambitions? With our guidance, Khanreiah will rise to a greater power! You're all cowards, just like the rest of the Royal guards" Morax taunted them his eyes glowing amber and with a snap of his fingers, the milieth, the adeptis all appeared in front of them, the soldiers didn't flinch with both Skylor and Ryzo glaring at the enemy soldiers a yaksha with black and teal hair appeared and kneeled before Morax "Adeptus Xiao! Let them know they are on the losing side of this war, I have other matters to attend to, the rest I leave to you" Morax said before disappearing again "Well you heard our archon! Prepare our weapons!" The yaksha shouted as the millieth charge with a battlecry, Skylor and her army draw their weapons "We've been at peace throughout our history! But now is the time to finally draw our weapons! Today the archons shall know the wrath of the Ender Watchers! Let's send these tyrants to the abyss! For the gateways!" With a shout, Skylor and her army charged and attacked the invaders, the mages summoned magical arrows made of light to kill the wind glider users, no matter how strong Barbatos made the wind, it can't distract the mages' sharp and focused minds, while the winged enderkin flew towards the enemy lines and proceeds to kill those who got in their paths, while the elemental users to either trap or kill the enemies and the others are using their wits and strength to be the victor of the battlefield, and the Khanreiahn soldiers are being assisted by the Ender Blimp shooting down the enemy's stronger defense and sending more elytra users to aid in the battle, in the middle of the battlefield, Ryzo is struggling to fight the cryo archon but has simply gained victory when Skylor appeared and strike her with her war flail. As the fight continued, Sora, her family and the other clans, teleported to one of the barren islands before going their separate ways as they all find a way to travel to the heart of the gateways, during their journey Sora and her family managed to hitch a ride on a wild dragon making its way towards the islands, knowing the long journey awaiting them, the Alberich clan simply rode on the dragon, when they came to the nearest island, Sora's daughter Mitsuki use the key to activate the portal that leads to the gateways itself, but the Shogunate and the electro archon herself charge at them, the family drew out their weapons and Mitsuki uses her sword to take down the soldiers approaching her, she swings her sword as a distraction which the opposing soldier fell for it as he just blocks it with his katana, thinking quickly she swings her sword piercing the soldier's neck before backflipping and swinging her sword to destroy or knock the shogunates' swords out of their hands before stabbing them, until a heavy armoured ones came up, with a breath she then uses her Ender strength and speed to swiftly deal with the soldiers as she put her sword on its sheathe the shogunate soldiers collapse while Mitsuki's brother Elijah uses his bow and arrow and his own gun to deal with the bow users of the Shogunate, one of the soldiers released an arrow but Elijah reflexively dodge the arrow and reloading his bow, he released the arrow on that soldier, before teleporting to them, grabbing the arrow and using the same arrow to stab and kill the soldier getting closer to him, he then grabbed another arrow from his quiver and placing it on his bow he releases it to one of the oncoming soldiers, before propmtly using his gun and started shooting the shogunate while Sora is dealing with the Shogun because of her Enderkin she is faster than a lightning and manage to dodge every single attack the Shogun threw at her and when the shogun summons a lightning aimed directly at Sora, she quickly uses her sword as a mirror and deflect the bolt of lightning back at the Shogun which incapicitated her, Sora then teleported behind her and proceeds to kill one of the incoming yakshas, making sure the coast is clear, the group made their way to the gateways. Meanwhile, in the Imperial city Morax summons meteors as Cloud Retainer uses her friend's inventions the Guizhong Ballista to shoot the Ender soldiers, causing the Ender army to lose formation which undoubtly went notice by Skylor "That Adeptus and the geo archon's powers and invention is routing our units!" Skylor pointed out before turning to Ryzo "Captain! I need you to make space for me! I'll take it down myself!" Was all Skylor commanded before teleporting out of sight, Ryzo attempted to do what his commander said but got stopped by an oncoming anemo and cryo arrow which he is able to avoid and using his warhammer to block them, the attackers turned out to be Cloud Retainer and the qilin, determined to stop them Ryzo carried on to fight, while Skylor teleported on where the Guizhong ballistas are located and manage to kill the stationed millieth and as she prepared to use her end powers, the millieth commander told his soldiers to get her, but that is when Skylor's powers are fully charged her spiky flail turned to that of an ordinary round weapon, Skylor's eyes glowed white as she took one mighty swing which was all it took to destroy the Guizhong ballistas and send the millieth screaming as they fall towards the ground, Barbatos tried to use the wind to help them break the fall but Winged enderkins anticipated this and summoned abyssal spikes to kill them and even summoning a barrier to prevent the anemo archon from foiling the plans the force of the swing also cause one of Morax's meteors and Celestia's red cube to shatter, shocking the geo archon and the tsaritsa. Skylor only uses her ender powers to teleport back in the battlefield, pulling up her chakras she prepared to fight, the soldiers are easily tackling the enemies and in the midst of fighting she notices the cryo archon for a second before dissappearing, she looks around to find her before realization dawned on her. Meanwhile the Alberich clan finally reached the gateways, Sora is about to insert the key but narrowly teleported in time when a cryo arrow is about to hit her, turning around Elijah and Mitsuki quickly drew out their weapons "Do you even know the dire consequences of what you're doing?" The cryo archon taunted them, however Sora only scoffed at this "We're not allowing you to destroy our nation! Unless of course you want us to do the same to yours! We have no problem of looking for a new home ourselves but you don't!" Sora sassily remarked with Elijah and Mitsuki trying their best not to laugh because of the seriousness "So stubborn and blind! But if you wish to stand in our way, know that you'll fall like the rest who did!" The tsaritsa remarked back and prepared to attack but this only made the family determined "Then try us! Cryo archon!" Elijah spoke and quickly use his bow as an improvised sword and tried to land a blow on the tsaritsa but she only teleported behind them and throwing magical daggers with a smirk but that smirk only dissappeared when Mitsuki and Sora just blocked it, the tsaritsa then uses her powers to try and kill the Ender watchers but to her shock, the group had faster reflexes being able to either evade or destroy the ice spikes with ease, Mitsuki while doing a backflip to evade a large icycle conjured up an icycle combined of ice and lava of her own and threw it in the Tsaritsa's direction managing to pierce the side of the Tsaritsa's abdomen which startled her causing her to lose her focus which made her powers stop, using this time, Sora gave the key to Mitsuki who took the cue to to teleport to the gateways and insert the key to give it enough power to teleport all the Khanreiahns to the remaining untouched regions in Khanreiah, the Tsaritsa turned her attention back to the group and this time uses her weapons, which made the Ender Watchers having to come up with some kind of strategy so using their ability to summon several portals they surrounded the tsaritsa and just begins to swing their weapons and attack recklessly, the Tsaritsa could only evade because of sheer luck, she conjured a shield but it begins to fall after a few swings and all it took is one huge swing from Elijah's bow turned to End Greatsword to destroy the shield which shock the cryo archon as an archon's shield no matter what element they are made out of is as strong as the geo meteors, the cryo archon was able to grab the throat of an oncoming Sora, the tsaritsa is about to kill her when Ryzo suddenly appeared from one of the portals with Skylor behind him who uses their weapons and swung their weapons in hopes to separate the cryo archon from Sora, without hesitation Elijah swung his end greatsword at the cryo archon who evaded it and summon energy blade which he and Ryzo was able to block, this gave Skylor the opening to throw the chakras at the archon as some of the blades pierce her arm and leg , the chakras entrapped the cryo archon and even prevented her from teleporting, Sora turned to Mitsuki who has been guarding the key "The key should be fully charged! Now turn it! And get our people out!" She shouted, Mitsuki did what her mother said and turned the key, moments later the gateways then proceeded to shut down the rest of the regions' gates preventing Celestia and the other archons from knowing the existence of other regions outside the imperial city, this prompted the citizens and the soldiers trapped inside the Imperial city to be teleported outside of the city itself and are now safely outside the region. Unfortunately, this left the archons stranded in the Imperial city and left them and their remaining military stranded in the imperial city "Noooo!!!!" The tsaritsa cried out as she teleported inside the Imperial city, forcing her, her fellow archons and the military to watch the Imperial city collapse with some of their soldiers being crushed to death by the falling buildings, leaving them feeling hopelessness as the only way to get out of Khanreiah now is through the main gate of Sumeru, as the soldiers gets killed off as the Khanreiahn soldiers teleported away from the battlefield and its vicinity, leaving the overworlders' people vulnerable to Celestia's destruction. After the whole battle is over, Sora alongside the other clans decided to start anew in one of the 'abandoned' regions in the seven nations sure they're no longer living in Khanreiah anymore but that's part of their plan to deceive Celestia to let Celestia know that their survival and adaptability is an arrogance that humanity can proudly show off, that they will no longer need an archon to guide them for it has been in their instincts since the dawn of times, and one day Celestia and the archons will be nothing more but a legend, a myth because of how far humanity has become and when that day comes Sora is going to be pleased to see the look on Celestia's face. A few weeks later, Sora and the rest of the clan heads has another meeting and the meeting is all about their plans in deceiving Celestia to which Sora's biggest worry has come true she alongside the Shigaraki clan has to use their powers to manipulate Irminsul make everyone think that the people turned to monsters are Khanreiahns and all of them had to seal their powers away, this is the Alberich Clan's most dangerous ability the ability to infiltrate the world's golden tree or in Tevyat's case Irminsul and manipulate certain events, those affected memories cannot be manipulated by anyone even the Dendro archon won't have the ability to do so, only an Alberich can interfere while the Shigaraki clan has the gift of sealing they can seal, borrow, take away, give people their abilities that's how all the humans who ascended to Celestia has their powers it was the first Shigaraki who gave Celestia the ability to make someone a god and give them their powers, it would have a much more catastrophic consequence had it not been for Sakayanagi's gift clairvoyance the first Sakayanagi predicted that Celestia will be corrupted by an unseen malevolent force and if the first Shigaraki gave Celestia all of their powers, Tevyat would be a dangerous place to live in. Anyways, Sure enough after a few minutes of Sora infiltrating Irminsul and using her gift to change the events, she and many others have forgotten that all of their people had survived but instead she remembered seeing some people cursed to be immortal while others turned to monsters in front of her very eyes that she knew if she survives she and many others will have to fight one day.
