Goku trained with Master Roshi for 1 year on his island. The training itself doesn't really change all that much, except for Goku generally being stronger this time around, by only a slight bit. Having a feeling that he was bound to meet up with Pico again, he kept up his singing game by repeating the lyrics he heard on Roshi's radio, and his TV. Roshi didn't get why, but he letted Goku do this; his physical strength was just as important as his mind, and singing was a great way to go about it!

Over at Pico's School though, a poster for the World Tournament was slapped over Darnell's President Campaign poster, revealing the young man only had 4 years left to live.... allegedly. Not much students noticed it, as everyone was more generally concerned with just getting to class on time. However, a blue haired boy was skipping class, along with our green, ginger machine, Pico. He then saw the poster, seeing an opportunity.

"Beep bo ba!", the boy said, Pico somehow being able to understand his chromatic language. "World Tournament? Boyfriend, this is for fighting, not for rapping.", Pico said, pointing to the Martial Arts symbols all over the poster. "Beep...", Boyfriend said, knowing that his rap career wouldn't be able to take off as soon as he hoped. However, Pico had a lingering thought on his mind, putting the poster back as he and Boyfriend walked up, a "Kick Me" notepad stuck on his back.

But, another party took interest in this. Two purple demons, one a retired rockstar, and one an actively preforming one, took the poster. "Ooh, daddy, mommy, what's that? I wanna see!", Girfriend asked, being their daughter. The demons, Mommy Mearest and Daddy Dearest shushed girlfriend, as they talked to one another. "So, you think that little Saiyan kid is gonna be there?", DD asked his wife. "We need to keep an eye on that boy, like she instructed us!"

"Without a doubt; this is the boy you are talking about?", Mommy Mearest said, pulling out a phone as she showed Pico and Goku rapping with mics in their hands, with Bulma bopping her head to the beat in the background. "He might have rapping capabilities too, so I think we can devise a little plan to keep him under our watch." Immediately, catching on, an organ can be heard in the distance, as the two looked at their daughter. Good thing though; she was looking at the phone, particularly, at Goku.

"Daddy, who is that? His singing is great!", Girlfriend said. "I want to meet him!" With those words alone, the plan was in motion; following Towa's instructions, they were instructed to simply keep Goku under watch in particular. Being lower demons than her, they had to follow her instructions, as vague as they were. This was the best plan they could think of, although it might not go well, as Mommy Mearest's backup dancers found out Goku isn't the brightest; he might not know what dating even is.

"Oh, don't worry honey; you'll get to meet this boy very soon..."

A few days then passed, as the 21st World Tournament was set to be hosted in Japan. Goku was there with all of his friends, excited for the matches that were going to happen; he was most excited to fight his best friend Krillin, and this mysterious man named Jackie Chun, a mysterious old man. Just as soon as the preliminary matches were completed, and all fighters were gathered in the ring, Bulma heard footsteps; a lot of them.

"Wait, is that Pico!?", Bulma yelled, as more than Pico came in; a black kid in a purple and yellow shirt, an asian girl in pink overalls, and a boy with blue hair and a cap... strange. Some of the contestants were covered in a purple aura; Nam and Giran were launched away, before getting spray containers thrown at them with matches, seemingly causing them to explode. The girl in pink held the announcer at knife point, with Goku getting a spray can launched at him; however, he deflected it easily.

"Seems your reaction speed is up to par, little man." Daddy Dearest and Mommy Mearest came to the stage, as the crowd suddenly didn't care about the people exploding; and suddenly, they just cheered the two. "Wait, are you talking to me?", Goku asked, looking up at Daddy Dearest. "Why of course, little one; our little girl wanted to see you preform!" The Dearest henchman then hauled a pair of speakers to the arena, with a girl in a red dress on them.
