So this was way back when I was still sick during Covid. You came over and brought me a soup. It was very thoughtful of you. I didn't have feelings for you during that time. It was merely admiration.
You had a bandage over your head if I can remember correctly.
I suspected you got into a fight, but you told me you accidentally bumped into those street lights.
Frankly,I did not believe a word you said.
I already knew you had enemies or at least some people I knew disliked you and said bad things behind your back. Of course, at that time I didn't care and just saw you as an object of admiration. After all, you were a street-smart who was quite well-known in the block.
You gave me a piece of advice that day, saying, "You need to talk if you need help,"
I went quiet and you read my face.
After you said those things which, by the way, I've heard plenty of times from many people whom I knew, deep down I realized I needed to assert my needs which I had trouble growing up. I was never taught to assert my needs except when it was an emergency and even that should be by force.
You lightened the mood once you read my expression and got up from the chair. You went to my balcony and came back again to say someone was calling you since they needed your help. So I nodded and you told me to get well soon, drink your medicine.
"Goodbye, see you soon." And out you went to the place I have no idea you went to.
