Simons fingers tapped onto the steering wheel in the rythm of the song blasting from the raido. His rings clicked against each other every time his fingers drummed down onto the leather. The traffic light turned green and the car started driving again. My back was gently pressed back into the seat as Simon speed up onto the highway.

"How long till we're there, Juliet?"

"20 minutes."

I answered Dan with a quick look at the GPS.
Someone on the back bench sighed annoyed. I turned. Dan's wide grin greeted me, her red locks surrounding her round face. Next to her, Leo leaned in a weird position onto Ray, mouth propped open and eyes closed. Ray rolled his eyes, annoyed, pushing his black, straightener-fried hair out of his face.

"Can we change seats?"

"No!"

I laughed

"Your manly shoulder is way more comfortable for Leo than mine."

"Besides,"

Dan interrupted.

"I think Simon likes Juliet better as the passenger princess."

This time I was the one rolling my eyes, turning away to ignore the teasing wink, Dan shot me right after.

Simon chuckled beside me, eyes fixated on the road.

I watched the sun shine through his curls making him look like an angel. A dimple formed on his cheek when he smiled and the weird feeling in my stomach made me turn away, averting my eyes from my best friend.

We were on our way to the yunglud concert.
The boys wanted to go. Simon, Leo and Ray were basically the biggest fans.

Simon convinced me to come because I was his best friend. Or at least that was his argument. I think he actually just wanted me to confess that his taste in music isn't as bad.

Which, to be fair, it's not. I just really like to make fun of him.

But in the end, I agreed to come, packed my bag (and Dan for moral support) and booked a hotel for the whole friend group to stay overnight.

"Did you listen to his songs or are we both going to the concert clueless asf?"

Dan's voice hit the back of my head.

"Nope, but oh lucky me got to listen to Simon sing all day so I basically know every song by heart."

"Hey, don't complain!"

Simon shot into the conversation.

"I'm not, honey"

I ruffled his hair, grinning. He answered with a huff and ducked away as far as he could with his hands on the steering wheel.

"You guy's are literally a married couple."

Ray mumbled, still in a bad mood, looking out of the window.

"Unhappy marriage."

Simon replied. But there was a chuckle in his tone.

"Abusive."

I added and promptly gained a slap on the back of my head.

"See?"

This time, I was the one ducking away from him.

Dan and Ray just looked at each other knowingly. I ignored it.
They shipped us. The whole friend group did.
But Simon didn't make a big deal out of it and neither did I.

Best friends always get shipped, especially when their the opposite gender.

But that doesn't have to mean anything, right?
