Chapter One:

"Feeling my way through the darkness 

Guided by a beating heart

I can't tell where the journey will end 

But I know where to start 

They tell me I'm too young to understand 

They say I'm caught up in a dream 

Well life will pass me by if I don't open up my eyes 

Well that's fine by me 

So wake me up when it's all over When I'm wiser and I'm older All this time I was finding myself And I didn't know I was lost"

 "When I'm wiser and I'm older

All this time I was finding myself And I didn't know I was lost" I sang as I woke up.

 "Hey turn your phone off, people are trying to sleep!" my sister, Kim, yelled from her room, which is right next to mine. 

 It was a Tuesday morning and she apparently wants to be late to school. I laughed and turned my phone off. I have this window seat in my room and it is connected to my bookshelf which is on the bottom of my seating area. 

I felt like someone was watching me, so I looked out the window and I saw a boy my age was watching me read my book. 'Can you not be such a stalker' I thought to myself.

"Katie, come down for here for breakfast?" my mom yelled from the kitchen. 

 "Coming mom" I yelled back at her. 

 I took one last look at the boy to check if he was still staring at me and he was. I quickly ran downstairs to the kitchen and found my mom making me my favorite breakfast.

 "Morning honey" said mom.

"Morning mom" I said as I kissed her cheek.

 She made my favorite breakfast, pancakes with whip cream with to top it of with cut strawberries. After I finished my breakfast, I went back upstairs to get rad for the first day of school. YAY. Note the sarcasm. I had one and half hours before I need to leave for school. 

'The first day of school, means the first and best impression on someone.' I thought to myself. 

 I got dressed in a...(look at the picture above)   

There was half an hour till school starts, so I had t race down the stairs and get into my car. if I don't make it one time, it would make a bad impression on myself; being late on the first day of school. 

I got to school and saw two of my best friends, Amanda and Chris. i always had a school girl crush on Chris. I looked at my watch and it read 7:21. SHIT!!!! School starts at 7:30 and I didn't get any of the things I needed for today.

"Lets go school is about to start." i say to warn the guys, and we walk to together to our lockers, which is right next to each other. 

The principle let the kids choose the people they want their lockers to be next to. And after we get our stuff we need for our first class, which is English for me and Chris, math for Amanda.
