Does your mother snore ?

Mama Rose snores a lot. She's embarrassing me. I want to wake her up but if I do, I know that I will feel guilty afterwards. If I disturb her sleep she will be angry at me for eternity . Do you know a person like that? A person who values their sleep more than anything in this world . A person who can sleep in the morning, afternoon and the evening too! Ughhh people are staring at me like I'm the one who's snoring instead of my mother. I don't really blame them because she looks exactly like me. Mama Rose looks like me even when she's asleep and maybe that is the reason everyone shifted the blame to me .

"Oh for god's sake can someone please wake her up? I'm tired of listening to that unbearable sound." a familiar voice shouted. I didn't even turn back in order to know that Pirate is seating on the seat behind mine. There's only twenty minutes until we arrive at our respective destinations, did she have to be angered by a fifty years old woman snoring?

"Tell your mother to wake up, right now!" Damn I should be angry. I should be irritated but instead I find the situation amusing. Chuckling softly, I tapped Mama Rose's shoulder.   "Mama please wake up" , I said slowly on my first attempt. "Ma please wake up" , I said again. "Ma-" , "Rosalia leave me alone ! I'm tired ! Leave. Me . Alone." She said catching the attention of everyone inside the bus. Those who were sleeping woke up to see what is happening. The old man in front of us shaked his head in a disapproving manner. A misogynistic voice was heard , it was the man from before . The man who had an unpleasant encounter with Pirate , he said "Mmh I did say that woman are dumb , look she's snoring in front of us." I ignored him and turned back to look at Pirate. "I'm sorry, she's doesn't exactly enjoy being woken up when sleeping." , I said.

Have you ever apologised because your mother is snoring? If you haven't, I wish you never have to. It is a humbling experience indeed.

Fifteen minutes later we were in Texas. Long gone was the snoring woman called my mother . She was replaced with an energetic person who carried two suitcases for herself and her daughter. You would have sworn that the incidence from earlier was just a dream, preferably a nightmare. We both waited quietly for my grandmother to come and fetch us.
