Classes were over and summer had started already, Yeonjun's first week of summer was pretty boring. He stayed home and watched tv all the time, his parents still worked during the summer which only got him a bit annoyed his parents wouldn't talk much to him, he also wondered where Beomgyu's been...after all.

Beomgyu told him he was going to spend time with him more during the summer but he hasn't shown up the first week and it was worrying Yeonjun.
Where was his favorite person?

_____

That Sunday night Yeonjun was peacefully sleeping in his bed, soft snores escaped his mouth as he comfortably moved around his bed. Until a scent of cigarettes lingered around his room, his nose scrunched in disgust to the scent and he fluttered his eyes opened and gasped.
"Gyu!-"

"Shh, lower your voice angel. Don't wanna wake up your parents do you now?" Beomgyu whispered as he held Yeonjun's chin gently while moving closer to him as he sat on his bed.

Yeonjun nodded in agreement as Beomgyu smiled before taking a drag of the cigarette in between his lips, exhaling the toxic scent away from Yeonjun's face. Yeonjun watched him in curiosity as Beomgyu smoked in front of him, as he quietly cleared his throat and whispered.
"I...didn't know you smoked Beommie..."

"You have seen me do it~ you were just young back then" Beomgyu chuckled as he turned his gaze away from the younger boy.
Yeonjun sighed in disappointment, he didn't like seeing his favorite person smoke, he didn't want his health to get ruined. Yeonjun grabbed Beomgyu's wrist where he wasn't holding the cigarette, keeping a firm grasp on it as he spoke once he caught Beomgyu's attention.

"I don't want you to smoke...it's bad for your health..." Yeonjun frowned.
Beomgyu's eyes widened when he felt Yeonjun's firm grasp on his wrist, he felt his breath hitch as he was speechless. Beomgyu found himself looking at Yeonjun's eyes in admiration, his gaze softening as he intertwined their hands together in a gentle manner.

"Alright angel...I'll stop, for you...okay?"
Yeonjun nodded, a smile creeping up his lips again as he hugged Beomgyu then. Beomgyu's face tinted a light pink as he hugged him back, holding the cigarette away from Yeonjun. When they broke the hug Beomgyu smirked at him.
"Let's go have fun"
"It's late right now though? My parents would get mad.."

"You're parents are asleep right now it's fine, besides they'd know you're with me"
Yeonjun was still a bit hesitant, but Beomgyu didn't mind because he wasn't going to back down yet.

"C'mon angel, I haven't visited you the first week of summer, and I told you I was going to spend your summer break with you.." Beomgyu spoke softly to him.
Yeonjun thought for a moment before exhaling and looking up at Beomgyu, smiling at him.
"Let's go"

"That's my angel.." Beomgyu ruffled his hair before standing up and helping Yeonjun off his bed, "first though change angel, it's cold outside and your pajamas won't warm you up".
Yeonjun nodded as he went to his drawer, taking out a plain black shirt and sweats. Beomgyu went to his closet and took out a hoodie for him, placing it on his bed before walking out of his room to give him privacy.

Secretly taking one more last hit from his cigarette and crushing it with his slim fingers, watching as the cigarette disintegrates. The small particles of it on the palm of his left hand, he blew them away from knocking on Yeonjun's door.

"Ready angel..?" He made sure to keep his voice low as his parents were next door to his Yeonjun's room. He heard Yeonjun's footsteps approach the door as he opened it before answering.
"Mhm" Yeonjun stepped out of his room as he closed it.
Beomgyu patted Yeonjun's shoulder before walking downstairs with him and leaving the house.

_____

They soon arrived at a park, it was dark and lonely outside all they could hear was the wind. Beomgyu didn't want to take Yeonjun there, he knew it was unsafe but Yeonjun wanted to go on the swings and Beomgyu didn't want to even try and argue.

Beomgyu sat at a nearby bench as he watched Yeonjun swing happily on the swing, his giggles warming up the devil's cold heart as he remembered when Yeonjun was younger. He wasn't surprised Yeonjun wasn't scared of being outside in the dark at night, he taught Yeonjun how to be brave and not fear the dark which stayed on him. Beomgyu taught him a lot of things, how to sense danger and if a stranger planned to do anything to him...which he sensed then suddenly.

Yeonjun felt a presence slowly approach him from behind, his eyes darted behind as he quickly jumped off the swing swiftly and ran away. He ran to the bench Beomgyu was at but didn't find him there, he panicked.

Beomgyu was already behind the person who was going to harm Yeonjun, as the person didn't notice him, Beomgyu's eyes shined a dark red as he strangled the person, hearing them groan in pain. Before the person could fight back Beomgyu pushed them down to the ground, his left leg pressing down on their stomach harshly.

He glared down at them, hearing their struggling sounds as they tried to escape Beomgyu.
"How dare you try to harm a child, you worthless human." Beomgyu growled under his breath before snapping his fingers, in a second the shadows around them formed into small demonic creatures, as they circled the person on the floor. Beomgyu's cold stare was only visible before he spoke up again.

"Get this disgusting human away from my gaze this instant."
A girl and boy appeared behind him then, "yes sir" they agreed before smiling devilishly down at the person as their eyes glowed red and their nails grew sharp.

Beomgyu stepped away before walking back to Yeonjun, hearing the screams of the person echo through his ears which made his smirk in delight. He saw Yeonjun sitting down at the bench, his heart aching when he heard Yeonjun's quiet sobs, he immediately went to him and sat down next to Yeonjun.

"Angel what's wrong?"
"Beomgyu! I-I thought something happened to you!" Yeonjun cried out as he immediately hugged Beomgyu tightly. Beomgyu laughed lightly as he patted Yeonjun's back in a comforting manner as he spoke up.
"I'm sorry for scaring you my angel, I just saw that person planning on harming you and I had to take..action.."

"Y-you did? What did you d-do..?"
Beomgyu chuckled as he pinched Yeonjun's right cheek, "I talked to them. Taught them a little lesson~"
Yeonjun laughed at his words, finding what Beomgyu said funny. He wiped his tears before looking at Beomgyu.

"Can we get some ice cream?...please"
Beomgyu raised a brow, "please? Yeonjun, angel, you know you don't have to plead. I'll always get you whatever you want.."
"Oh, right I forgot..." Yeonjun laughed nervously as he felt embarrassed.
Beomgyu smiled at him before standing up from the bench.

"Let's go get your ice cream shall we?"
"Yeah!" Yeonjun exclaimed as he got off the bench and started walking with Beomgyu. Beomgyu happily talked with Yeonjun as they went to an open nearby ice cream store, as he completely forgot about the person who was going to harm Yeonjun, he knew by now the person was out of this world...which pleased the devil...
