Before there was anything, there were the Primordials. Chaos was around at the beginning and would be around at the end. God was the next to appear followed by Goddess, together they created the universe, Heaven and seven Archangels. They were created by God and Goddess for the sole purpose of locking Chaos away in a place where only they could rule, but would be unable to rule elsewhere. This led to the existence of Death, a personification of death itself, which was created as a result of the fighting and the disruption of the cosmic order. The last primordial emerged from the creation of Death, a being who created Purgatory for the sole reason to be alone, Oberon.

The Archangels were created as a joint effort by God and Goddess and they had few responsibilities before earth and humans were created. The first was Helel, God's favourite and appointed by God to look after the earth and humankind. The second was Michael, who commanded the Holy Host of Heaven in God's name. The third was Gabriel, a messenger between God and humankind by providing God's message. The fourth was Raphael, the strongest healer. The fifth was Ariel, who oversaw the protection and healing of animals and plants on Earth and supervised the care of natural elements. The sixth was Uriel, who endowed humankind with belief of God and religion and looks after the holy relics. The seventh was Amael, who was responsible for bonding humankind in love, joy and harmony.

Following the archangels creation, God created six more classes of angels. There are there Orphanim, which are essentially the mechanics of Heaven. There are the Guardians, who are angels of protection. There are the Seraphim, who are the Generals of Heaven. There are the Malakhim who are the messengers between the classes. There are the Cherubim who are tasked with bonding important bloodlines together. The final class are referred to as regular angels who make up the armies of heaven.

A special kind of human arose on Earth, these humans were God's voice on Earth. They were selected by Gabriel and speak of events to come. Gabriel used to be tied to prophets, but Uriel gained that job when Gabriel left Heaven. The archangel acts as the prophet's protector when the need arises and any presence of danger surrounding the prophet will cause intervention from the archangel. Only one prophet can be active at a time.

The Goddess had many doubts when the Earth was created and those doubts turned into jealousy when God created the humans. She devised a plan to corrupt God's favourite angel to turn against his father through placing doubts in his head. It worked a little too well. All his siblings turned against him and God became furious with them both. He got so angry that he created Hell and banished them both there, but not without leaving them powerless. Both made the most of the situation and even changed their names to Lucifer and Lilith, respectfully.

Oberon, feeling lonely when hearing that God made new beings known as humans, became curious and wanted to make their own creatures. These creatures resided in Purgatory, but the strongest escaped when God banished Goddess and Helel from Heaven.

Lucifer and Lilith, unable to give up, went to work in corrupting humankind. Lilith craved more and the Heirs of Hell were created. They were the first humans turned demons, who through countless of horrible deeds through their life were condemned to Hell for eternity. There had been humans sent to Hell before, but those spirits stayed as they were. Lucifer and Lilith created four Heirs. There was Azazel, who taught humans war and weapon-making. There was Niya, who possessed vast and forbidden knowledge that only a few worthy humans could know. There was Asmodeus, who was responsible for negotiations and contracts with humans. The last was Ramiel, who taught humans torture.

Knights of Hell are demons chosen by Ramiel trained to murder and torture. Crossroad demons are in charge of making deals with humans in exchange for their souls and collect the souls when needed. Soldiers of Hell are the demons that are the henchmen or minions to other demons or enjoy wreaking havoc themselves.

Shortly after Lucifer was banished from Heaven, Gabriel, tired of the fighting between his siblings and who enjoyed being around humans, left Heaven and resides on Earth permanently. It would not be for many years that Ariel would do the same.

Despite angels hardly ever travelling to Earth, many were curious of this new race and as a result many Nephilim were created. God, terrified of this new race of powerful creatures, ordered for every Nephilim to be killed and for the angel parent of each Nephilim to receive a harsh punishment.

The same is said about Cambions, the offspring of a human and a demon, but their existence does not elicit the same fear that Nephilim give.

Among the discovery that angels in a human vessel and demons in a human vessel were able to procreate with humans, an angel and a demon offspring was speculated. Angels and demons are predisposed to hate each other and such a creature could only be created through the sexual intercourse of both human vessels. Angels rarely feel the need to even have sex, as they have no intrinsic need to reproduce while demons enjoy seduction and lustful acts. If by an impossibly slim chance that a Nephalem would be created, they would possess power that may rival the Primordials.
