Nothing was better than sitting down on your couch, wrapped up in a cozy blanket, watching your favorite show while drinking a well made drink. In fact, that was what I've been doing for the past hour or two, binge watching a recent favorite show and drinking the coffee Jimin had made.

It was good . So good, I had half the mind to approach him at school and let him know that he was a splendid coffee maker. But after further thinking I remembered that one, I could never gather the courage and 2, Jimin told me to stay away from him.

The memory made me scoff and I lean my head back on the couch. A few of my theories still stood, although now I was considering a few more since the day he caught me from almost running into another student. An original theory was that him and his friend Yoongi were in some kind of gang, and that maybe Jungkook and Taehyung were also in one. Maybe their gangs hated each other, and that's why they avoid and get aggressive when the other is mentioned. The more I thought about it, the more plausible this theory was, but continuing to my newer idea, Jimin was some kind of superhero that wanted to keep his identity a secret. Which would explain his quick reflexes when he caught me midfall.

I sigh, standing up. This is weird, why am I even thinking up of these things, or wondering what Jimin is. He's just another student at school, another person in this small boring town, a miniscule being on this earth.

I walk to the kitchen to throw away my empty coffee cup and walk back and turn off the TV. Definitely time to sleep, my brain is totally fogged up. Giving a big stretch, I walk upstairs to my bathroom and quickly brush my teeth before stepping into my bedroom and shutting the door. My finished homework sits on my desk, and I make a mental note not to forget it Monday. Throwing on my pajamas, I turn off my main light but turn on the soft lit hanging lights on the opposite side of my bed. I never really liked the dark, or more accurately, what was in the dark. My mother would tease me for it and ask what I thought would be in my room, but I only shrugged and replied that I didn't know, which was why the light would stay on.

I climb into bed and throw on the blankets, closing my eyes and let the clutches of sleep consume me.

◇◇◇

The windows of the home were dark, only one dimly illuminated against the darkness of the other houses. Quick and agile, I climb up until I'm face to face with her window, testing to see if it would open. It did, quite easily, and I suddenly felt a bit exasperated that she would leave her window unlocked at night.

I convinced myself that this was an easy excuse as to why I should be here, to make sure she was okay and safe, but something else in me quietly laughed at my idiocy. Here I was, inside of a girl's room as she slept, not as a human but a vampire. She was alone, soundly asleep, unkowing that her own classmate was standing a few feet away. She didn't know a few feet away was a monster, a blood sucking demon capable of ending her life with a mere flick of a finger. The thought made me cringe, but even more so, curious.

As quiet as could be, I stepped closer to her bed, reaching out and gently brushing against the soft covering. My fingers are light and gentle, so much so that the blanket hardly creases under my touch. My fingers continue to make their way up the covers, my eyes glued to them. Finally, they hover over her face, her soft breaths hitting them. Her eyelids gently fluttered, brows creasing.

I couldn't help but gently lower my hand until my index finger rested against her cheek. Almost immediately, her brows scrunched further and she released a small sound, akin to what a human would make when they were presented with an unwanted sensation.

The sight made me smile a little, finding her expression a bit cute.

Y/n was quite plain for a human, nothing about her appearance really stood out. However, from the beginning, something about her drew me in. At first, I thought it was her blood calling out to me, like a siren singing to it's prey. I thought that the reason she consumed my mind was because of my want, my need, for her blood.

But here I was, in her room, all alone touching her face. I could so easily drink her blood now. My throat burned at her scent, so eagerly wanting to be extinguished. Despite this, I felt nothing but contentment being here now. Surrounded by her scent and softly caressing her cheek. It was almost like she had grown used to my touch too, her expression more relaxed. I wish I could stay here for eternity, in this moment to figure out why I felt so drawn to this girl, but I release a hesitant sigh and let my hand drop to my side.

No matter what feelings stormed inside me, it was too dangerous to be like this. I told her to stay away from me, but I find myself to be the one chasing now. It was too risky.

I begin to trek back towards the window, feeling confused and angry. Once again, I hesitate, turning back toward her. She still slept peacefully, eyelids fluttering, and for a moment, I wondered what she could be dreaming of. Shaking my head to clear the ridiculous thought, I extend my hand to turn off her lamp before jumping out the window, landing on my feet gracefully before disappearing into the shadows of the night.
