I was lounging at home, soaking in the tranquility after a fun day with Hailey, when my phone buzzed with a FaceTime call. I glanced at the screen and saw Joshua's name flashing. With a quick smile, I swiped to answer.
"Hey, Shua!" I greeted warmly, adjusting my position on the couch.
"Hey, Eli! How's it going?" His voice came through, accompanied by a faint background of music.
"Just winding down from a busy day. What about you?" I asked, curious about the setting on his end.
"Just finished a studio session. Thought I'd see if you're up for a chat," he replied, flashing a smile that made my heart skip a beat.
"Perfect timing then," I said, smiling back. "How was your day?"
"Busy, but good. Missing our hangouts though," he admitted with a chuckle. "What did you do today?"
"Well, you know Hailey Bieber? She's one of my best friends. We filmed a video for her YouTube channel," I shared, feeling relaxed in his company.
"That sounds cool. What did you guys do?" Joshua leaned closer to his camera, genuinely interested.
"We played Truth or Drink and spilled some tea," I chuckled. "It was hilarious."
Joshua grinned. "Sounds fun. Maybe we could do that sometime."
"I'd love that," I replied warmly, feeling a rush of excitement at the thought.
We continued chatting, exchanging stories and teasing each other about our latest adventures. As the conversation flowed, Joshua's tone turned slightly more serious.
"So, Eli, I have a favor to ask you," he said, his expression earnest.
"Sure, what's up?" I asked, intrigued.
"Well, you see, we just finished shooting our latest music video. Vernon and I have a song together called '2 Minus 1,' and I was wondering if you'd like to be in our music video?" he asked with a hopeful smile.
My eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, really? I'd love to!" I exclaimed, genuinely thrilled by the invitation. "That sounds amazing, Shua."
"Awesome! I'll send you the details soon. I think you'll really like the concept," he said enthusiastically.
"Can't wait! Thanks for thinking of me," I replied gratefully.
After exchanging a few more details, we said our goodbyes, both looking forward to the collaboration ahead. As I hung up, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement about this new adventure with Joshua and Vernon.
2 weeks later:
After waiting eagerly for about two weeks, Joshua and Vernon finally touched down in LA, and today was our big day to start filming their music video. The next morning, I threw on something comfy because I knew I'd be changing into my shoot outfit later and getting my makeup done.
Driving over to the shooting site, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves bubbling up inside me. When I arrived, Joshua and Vernon were already there, waiting with huge grins.
"Hey, Eli! So glad you made it!" Joshua exclaimed, pulling me into a big hug.
"Yeah, we've been looking forward to this," Vernon added, giving me a friendly pat on the back.
I sat in the trailer, getting all glammed up by the makeup and hair team. They dolled me up in this cute outfit—a leather jacket, crop top, mini skirt, and boots that screamed edgy yet chic.
Once I was all set, I headed over to the set. Joshua was already there, strumming his guitar and looking like a rockstar.
"Hey there," he greeted me with a warm smile as I approached.
