Micheal Manoban is a highly successful and one of the wealthiest businessmen in Korea, despite his roots being in Thailand. His journey from his homeland to becoming a magnate in Korea is a testament to his hard work and determination. Micheal’s pride and joy is his daughter, Lisa, who is set to inherit his vast empire. However, his dreams for her extend beyond merely taking over the family business; he envisions her marrying a wealthy man, thereby further solidifying and expanding their influence in the industry.

Lisa, a modern and independent woman, has a different perspective on life. She believes that love is a natural emotion that cannot be orchestrated or forced. Her father’s attempts to arrange her marriage through a series of blind dates clash with her ideals. Lisa envisions meeting the man of her dreams spontaneously and falling in love naturally. The thought of being set up on blind dates feels contrived and unnatural to her.

Despite her continuous protests, Micheal remains undeterred. He insists on one final blind date, adamantly believing that this particular suitor is the perfect match for her. In an act of defiance and desperation, Lisa concocts a plan. She convinces her best friend, Jennie, to go on the date in her place. Jennie is initially resistant, but Lisa’s heartfelt pleas and persuasive arguments eventually win her over. Jennie agrees, thinking that it’s just a harmless date and nothing significant could happen.

The evening takes an unexpected turn. The man Jennie meets is none other than Taehyung, the new CEO of their company who has recently returned from Cambridge. Neither Taehyung nor Jennie recognize each other initially. The realization dawns only when Taehyung hands her his business card. Jennie, now aware of the situation, is filled with dread but maintains her composure. She decides to portray herself as a spoiled and uninterested heiress, hoping to deter him.

Throughout the evening, Jennie’s antics are designed to make Taehyung lose interest. She acts disinterested, makes outrageous comments, and tries to sabotage the date in every possible way. After the date, Jennie is confident that she has succeeded in making a terrible impression and that Taehyung would never want to see Lisa again.
