Among the many lessons Kuznetsov imparted, one stood out: the art of finesse. In moments of gravity, a touch of humor can often be the key. I've never been adept at crafting jokes myself, so I often borrow from others. Some might call it plagiarism, but isn't all humor a form of borrowing? After all, even "knock knock jokes" have their origins somewhere.Kuznetsov passed away two years ago, but for me, he lives on. His wisdom resides in my mind, guiding me on which move to make when I'm uncertain and when the moment is right to strike. Prodigies like him are eternal; their influence never truly fades.

Sometimes life revolves around the allure of deception, driven by humanity's innate craving for risk and reward. Hanni had a penchant for one particular activity: the occasional gamble.
There's a certain thrill in immersing yourself in a game where you have nothing to lose, yet everything to gain. Climbing the ranks adds an irresistible allure. For Hanni, it's the game of chess that fuels this addiction.
In the final moments of the intense chess game, the tension hung thick in the air as the endgame unfolded with precision and calculated moves. Black, with a slight material disadvantage but a superior pawn structure and active pieces, maneuvered carefully to exploit White's weaknesses.
After a series of exchanges that left both sides with a reduced but still complex position, Black skillfully centralized the king and activated the rook along the open file. White, struggling to defend against the coordinated attack, made a critical error by placing the king on an exposed square.
Sensing an opportunity, Black seized the moment with a decisive rook sacrifice, deflecting White's king away from the defense of crucial pawns. In response, White was forced to capture the rook, leading to a sequence where Black's remaining pawns advanced swiftly toward promotion.
With the advantage now overwhelming and White's remaining pieces unable to prevent the inevitable promotion of a pawn to queen, White acknowledged defeat and extended a handshake in acknowledgment of Black's mastery and strategic finesse throughout the game. Thus, the chessboard bore witness to a triumph of skill and calculation as Black emerged victorious in a thrilling endgame battle.
"I won," Hanni declared confidently.
"I can see that," the girl replied through gritted teeth. Hanni extended her hand, a gesture of sportsmanship. Reluctantly, the girl shook it.
"What's your name, anyway?" She asked.
"I'm Hanni. I'm new here," she introduced herself.
"I'm Cherry, and I used to be the best at chess. But looks like I've met my match," Cherry admitted begrudgingly.
Hanni's eyes narrowed. "I'm not your match,", picking up her case and striding out of the room.
Hanni relished challenges, driven by a desire to not only become the best but to surpass even that lofty goal.
"Hanni!" A voice called out behind her. She turned and sighed. "Harriette," she acknowledged.
"How's your second day going?" Harriette chirped, falling into step beside her.
"Monotonous," Hanni replied with a hint of resignation. Then, she noticed a familiar face approaching.
"Well, it looks like things are about to get a little more interesting," Harriette commented mischievously.
"Hanni," Danielle greeted as she reached them.
"Danielle," Hanni replied evenly.
"How's your second day going?" Danielle inquired.
