It's been a few days now. Ritsu felt that she had been settling in nicely. His online landscape is where she rested for the past few days. The inside has been decorated to reflect the outside. Their surroundings consisted of artificial trees and clouds. His programming skills brought forth a more realistic atmosphere to her void. She even added to her surrounding sites with site skins to make them appear more friendly, colorful, and bubbly. It helped give him a more comfy place to come back to every night. She doesn't need to sleep, however the act of doing so feels so refreshing.
His feet kicked in the air at the end of the bed. The tips of her socks hung in the air beyond his bed. His outfits consisted of a style called "New Look". It was a fun change from her school uniforms. The current outfit that she was wearing consisted of red and black. The collar around his neck was a red plaid. It ended in a bow beneath her chin. The dress had short sleeves and a cinched waist. A panel of plaid, the same type as his collar, was sewn into the front right side. This style gave her confidence in her new existence as both human and programming.
Her monitors flared up with new activity from outside her world. He gathered her skirt into her lap to avoid ruining the fabric. His fingers snapped, exposing a dreamlike change of shoes onto her feet. These shoes were distinct from the dress in anything outside of style. Ritsu was not going to suffer through wearing heels when not needed. He had enough problems as is with traveling around in her human body, as clumsy as it was.
Luckily enough for the AI, her powers of choosing her clothes allowed her to create her own. His shoes were simple horseback riding boots made from leather but dyed into a darker shade of red from her dress. The laces were premade in her snap. She only had to lift a finger to swap her clothes or clean herself after all.
Her fingers grazed through the security connections and connected devices to find which one had summoned her. Jiu's connection to her realm popped up. Its flagged presence showed him frantically tapping on the phone as if that would do anything. He dusted her virtual self out, smoothing out non-existent creases in her clothing. He was virtual after all, the pain of programming clothing to gain creases or get dirty in her realm was not a burden she wanted from her now human side.
She tapped on the view to Jiu. A doorknob appeared on the view before her. After turning the knob, she wasted no time in going through. He digitally fell out of the world. Glitching squares were the ticket to the human world. Her body popped into existence behind the detective. "So, what did you need me for?" Ritsu took a seat on a nearby counter.
The man in front of her showed a scared face to her antics. He has been more playful when outside of the prison they were metaphorically born in. "Geez, Ritsu-san, you almost gave me a heart attack!" The detective's flustered face gave Ritsu a sense of familiar comfort. Their relationship has not improved a dramatic amount since her original arrest, but it has finally become the stage of accomplices or faint friends who would see each other in passing every few days.
"Your heart rate has yet to increase in the amount a heart attack would create. Therefore, suffer." She learned the quote online. It is a simple word used to convey a playful tone of 'deal with it'. "Besides, you knew what you were getting into when you helped me out." She smiled with a grin and curtsey from her arms only.
"That was a few days ago." Jiu sighed into his palm. Ritsu kicked his legs while listening to the man's inner dialogue as it was leaking out. Jiu stood up straight. His face wiped away the fake sorrow. His hands held more documents. Ritsu got a clear look when they were deposited into her lap. "I got the paperwork completed for you to join. It was hard without the basic information."
