The few customers exited only a few minutes apart, leaving Ezra and one of his employees, Krista, as the only ones who filled to shop. After telling Krista she could pack up for the night, Ezra went to set up an approachable area for him and Aria to sit. Being the romantic he was, he went into the den and lit candles, and brewed her a house cup on decaf. He also warmed up some of the cinnamon buns.A he had leftover from the days selling. After combing through his hair slightly with his fingers, he heard the bell attached to the door signalling a person had entered.

"Ezra?" Aria called.

Ezra walked out of the kitchen, placing the cinnamon buns on the table. "Hey."

They sat down, and were quiet for a bit. Then she spoke.

"I just wanted to thank you, for being there for me through all of this. I really am glad I have you in my life, and I don't know what I would do without you. But the thing is, we broke up before all of this for a reason, a very good one, too. I don't think it would be wise to start things again, and wind up leaving it unresolved. It's not fair to either of us."

As much as he wanted to be with her, she had a very good point. With college coming soon, it would be best to go seperate ways.

"Yeah, yeah you're right. I think that what we had is behind us, and that our friendship means a lot more." Ezra said.

"Wait, what do you mean 'behind us?' I was kind of addressing that some feelings are still here." Aria scoffed, slight baffled.

"Feelings? What do you mean by that?" Ezra challenged.

"You know what I mean. I just think that it's not behind us, if anything were facing it head on. I'm just trying to ease us out of the situation.." She replied.

"Ease us out of the situation? We're not just hormonal teenagers trying to ignore our desires-"

"I never said that!" Aria snapped, interrupting Ezra mid sentence.

The banter when back and forth, and eventually both of them were standing and yelling.

"You needed someone, and I was there. I wasn't trying to brush my influence on you!" Ezra yelled, and in his own defence, we was telling the truth.

"Are you saying I was trying to 'get with you'? Okay, if I wanted to have sex, I would have been blunt about it, I'm not going to seduce by making myself seem meek and scared!" Aria fought back.

"I never said you did that!"

"You know, maybe it was a mistake coming here." Aria grabbed her purse and began to tidy her spot, getting ready to leave.

"I don't think you did." Ezra lowered his gaze to the floor.

The last time they argued like this was Aria's junior year, when she was confused on what actions to take about Byron cheating on Ella. Ezra was wishing he could get those times back, even if it was a heated argument, he knew she loved him the way he did her. Now they are arguing over the fact she might not.

"Just, go. We can talk later." Ezra muttered.

They continued to argue after Ezra's remark, and as soon as the quarrel started to get heated again, Aria took a step forward. Ezra through she was going to slap him, but instead she didn't something entirely unexpected.

Her lips were soft, as they brushed against his. It sent chills down Ezra's spine. Ezra kissed back, thinking with his body, and not with his brain. She pressed her mouth former to his now, holding his face in her tiny hands. Before getting anywhere else, Aria stopped herself. They stared at each other, stunned of what just happened. Without saying another word, Aria grabbed her things and left.

Leaving Ezra completely and utterly confused.
