AN: I have a whole other chapter almost finished but after last nights show in London I am so inspired. I hope you were all as shocked as I was that Travis made it on stage in his rookie year haha :)

April 2024

Taylor's POV:

"Let's take a ten minute break and then do one more run through of the Tortured Poets Department set and then we can call it a day." I say to my dancers and band as we stand in our practice studio in LA where we have set up camp for the break before the Europe leg of tour starts. Running my hand over my sweat drenched face I walk over to the couch where I keep my bag and water bottle and pull out my phone and see a text from Travis.

Travis: Done recording the podcast. Can I come to the studio and wait for you to finish?

"Anyone care if Travis comes and sits in on the last bit of rehearsal?" I ask to the crew and am met with shaking of heads and a few excited hollers. This isn't the first time he has stopped by and watched rehearsal, but I never want to make any of my dancers or band uncomfortable by having an audience. After all, we just added a whole new 30 minute set for TTPD a few weeks ago, which means plenty of mistakes occur right now and we are just working out the bugs.

Taylor: Sure. We probably only have 45 minutes left.

I take a few long pulls of my water and run my towel over my face. Travis's recording studio he uses for New Heights is next door to where we practice and it makes sense for him to just join me before we head back to my house. I slip on my practice boots that have been made for the TTPD set and lace them up before standing back up fixing my blue sports bra and pulling my black biker shorts down.

"Hey guys." Travis's loud booming voice says as he walks into the space headed directly for me.

"Hi sweetie." He whispers as he gets close to me and kisses my forehead before setting down his backpack that he always brings with him when he records the podcast. He looks good, a pair of black shorts and a cream colored crocheted top and his usual white Nikes.

"Hey babe." I pull him into a tight hug before releasing him and taking a step away.

"I better get back out there, we are almost done. We are just going to run through the new set one more time, are you good to stay here?" I ask him as he throws himself on the gray couch and nods up at me with a large grin.

"I'm good Tay. Go, your team is waiting on their Boss lady." I laugh and turn back to see my dancers waiting to start the choreography for But Daddy I Love Him and my band already set up.

"Alright let's do this." I call out before grabbing a mic and going to my mark.

I lay on the ground as we finish The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and hear a loud commotion then a loud OW and immediately sit up seeing Jan, one of my dancers, on the ground.

"Shit. Jan, are you ok!?" I rush over to him as he is holding his leg and wincing in pain.

"I'm fine, I just tripped over the edge of the flooring. It's good, let's just finish up with I Can Do it With a Broken Heart and I'll ice it later." He says wincing as he stands back up. I frown at him as he limps back to the line. Normally, it wouldn't be an issue but the next scene he is supposed to pick me up with Kam and carry me to start the song.

"No way, go sit down on the couch. Trav? Can you run and go get him an ice pack from the freezer in the back?" I shout out and Travis jumps up and takes off. Jan rolls his eyes at me, but at this point everyone knows arguing with me is pointless as I can be a little stubborn. Ok, a lot stubborn, especially when it comes to my team. Travis is back in a minute and is helping Jan get set up on the couch and elevating his ankle using his backpack.
