After a breakout season his freshman year, Weston Walsh is ready to return to the University of North Dakota and reclaim his title as star (and, hopefully, starting) goalie. That plan would be going a lot better, however, if he wasn't dealing with the divorce of his parents and driving home practically every weekend to make sure his dad was managing to stay afloat.
It would also be going a lot better if the team hadn't lost their first game of the season. And if Maxine Evans hadn't taken that loss and turned it into her new blog post, putting a spotlight on Wes's performance and how he's going to drag the team to a losing season.
It's only fate that Wes and Max happen to share the same developmental psychology class. It's up for debate whether it's fate or divine intervention when Wes shows up for class and the seat next to Max is empty, but he takes his shot all the same and offers her a bet that might just be ridiculous enough that she can't bring herself to refuse.

it's also dual chaotic POV! which means that it's dual POV (a first for me) but there's not a specific schedule per POV, so be ready to be surprised every time there's a chapter essentially
