Continuation of flashback:

Aarushi's Pov:-

"Done looking at me?" His deep voice broke my thoughts, making me shiver.

"Hm?" I said, still dazed by his strong look.

He laughed, a warm sound that made my cheeks turn red. I wanted to hide.

What was I thinking?

I'd been staring at him like a silly girl with a crush.

Embarrassed, I got up quickly, almost falling over my shoes.

"Th-thank you," I said softly, fixing my hair.

I wasn't sure why I was thanking him - maybe for not mentioning my staring?

"Are you new here?" he asked, his voice softer now, maybe seeing I was embarrassed.

I nodded, still looking at the ground.

"Yes," I whispered, then spoke up.

"Yes, I am."

"What are you studying?"

Finally brave enough to look up, I answered,

"Business Administration."

His face brightened.

"Me too! But I'm in my last year." He smiled, and my heart jumped.

"The program's great. You'll have an interesting time."

I smiled a little, feeling less nervous.

"That's good to hear. I'm excited about it."

"By the way," he said,

"nice to meet you. I'm Ekaansh Raichand." He held out his hand to shake.

I waited a moment before taking it. His hand was warm and strong, but not too tight.

"Aarushi Kapoor," I said, surprised my voice was steady.

"Aarushi," he repeated, as if trying out my name.

"That's a pretty name. It means 'first ray of sun,' right?"

I nodded, happy he knew.

"Yes, it does. Not many people know that."

He leaned in a bit, speaking softly. His lips moved, but I heard nothing.

"What?" I asked, moving closer to hear better.

"Nothing!" He said quickly, standing up straight.

His sudden change surprised me.

I looked at my watch, realizing how much time had passed.

"I think I should go now," I said, not really wanting to.

"My classes would have started."

"Ummm, okay," He said, touching his hair.

He seemed nervous now, different from before.

I couldn't help but look at him again.

Gosh, he's so handsome, I thought, my cheeks getting warm.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped back.

"It was nice meeting you, Ekaansh," I said, waving a little.

I had just turned when he called out,

"Aarushi!"

My heart jumped as I turned back.

"Yes?" I asked, feeling hopeful and curious.
