"Aiden what is this?"
Ashlyn raised an eyebrow and put her hands to her sides, her eyes slightly narrowing as Aiden laughed a bit
"It's just a celebration my parents are holding."
Aiden smiled at Ashlyn and gently took her hand, holding it softly his touch warm. A nice contrast to the cold breezes and howling moon.

Ashlyn and Aiden were at a party type Celebration that Aiden's parents were hosting, it was unclear the reason as to why the party was being hosted but Aiden still chose Ashlyn as his "plus one" or "date" to it.

Aiden's entire immediate family and friends were all there, Ashlyn of course had her earplugs in but she still couldn't shake the awkward feeling she had about it. Though it was probably because of how she'd been a hermit most of her life, it still felt.. awkward.

Ashlyn pov;
I couldn't help but hold my arm, squeezing it slightly. I was used to formal wear and all that but.. party's are something I've tried to avoid. Not to mention how loud it is in here..
"Aiden, i don't know how to feel about this party.."
"Don't worry ash, I'll always be here if you need someone."
Aiden smiled at me in a way that made me feel some sort of comfort or endearment.

Third person:
The celebration grew louder by the minute, who knew Aiden's parents had so many family members and friends.

Throughout the night Ashlyn and Aiden were always in eye view of each other, though Aiden looked for her specifically. Making sure she wasn't getting to worked up by how loud it was and how many people were there, talking to her and touching her hair.
After a few hours of putting up with everyone's behavior she walked out of the venue, to a garden like area with a few benches around the hedge border
Ashlyn sat down on one of the benches and looked up at the sky. Even if she was far away from the noise it was still loud enough to be suffocating.
"When is this going to end? This 'party' has been something I've only been able to think of in my nightmares, until now."
Ashlyn groaned to herself, taking a moment to breathe now that she could without people looking her way.

Aiden pov:
Where's ash? Is she doing okay? I should go check on her.
My thoughts ran like a steam train as Ashlyn was nowhere to be found, I was extremely worried for her. Especially because I know how she is around large crowds of people, any people for that matter and loud noises. I have to say that this party has been loud and exhausting.
I started to walking around the building
"Ash? Gracie?"
I called out to her, until I walked past a large crowd of people and saw a frosted glass door.

Third person

The door to the garden area creaked open, Ashlyn quickly put her hands to her ears as she looked over to Aiden. She slightly loosened up as she noticed who was there, Aiden sat on the same bench as her. But he wasn't extremely close to her, because he was trying to understand her boundaries.
"You doing okay there grace?"
Aiden's tone was gentle and genuine.
"Yeah.. it's just this whole night has been really loud and.."
"Overwhelming."
Ashlyn was dumbfounded at how Aiden was able to finish her sentence with her, Aiden moved closer to her and smiled. He put his hand on hers gently.
"It's okay to be overwhelmed at this ash, this night has been exhausting even for me."
Ashlyn smiled back at him, she felt seen? A faint flush appeared on Aiden as Ashlyn smiled at him
"Wanna ditch this? I'll drop 'ya off at yours."
Aiden asked, gripping Ashlyn's hand a bit tighter
"Yeah.. let's go."
Ashlyn replied, a smile still on her face and now a hint of blush.

So... this was my first ever writing thing. I hope you guys liked it and if there's anything that I can do to improve my writing please let me know. I dont do many creative writing pieces in school so I don't have much experience in this field 😭
