Haewon's POV

The quartet of Hyunsu, Jia, Yumi, and I sat in our favorite café after classes. For the first hour, the girls couldn't stop talking about my encounter with Wonbin that morning, teasing and laughing, which made me smile despite my embarrassment.

Eventually, the excitement faded, and we shifted to other topics. Hyunsu, Jia, and Yumi chatted animatedly, while I only made occasional comments. My head was buried in the books and notes in front of me, preparing for an exam that no one else had probably even started thinking about yet.

Suddenly, another voice chimed in.

"Guess who?"

I turned to see a pair of hands covering Hyunsu's eyes.

"Hmm, let me guess... my immature, waffle-obsessed boyfriend," Hyunsu said with a smile.

My brother, Sungchan, removed his hands and took the empty seat between Hyunsu and me.

"Hey, idiot," Sungchan said, playfully smacking my head.

"Cut it out, middle child," I snapped back, though I couldn't help but smile.

"Okay, my parents' mistake," he teased.

"Fuck you, Jung."

"You're a Jung too."

"Stop it, you idiots," Hyunsu said, making us fall silent.

"See, Yumi, I told you everyone is afraid of Mommy Hyunsu," Jia said.

"Stop calling my girlfriend Mommy, you grown-ass woman," Sungchan retorted.

"Okay... Daddy Sungchan," Jia said, laughing.

"Remind me, Hyunsu, why are you friends with her?" Sungchan asked, shaking his head.

"Hey guys, wassup" Shotaro asked as he joined us.

"Oh, you're here," Sungchan greeted him, motioning for him to sit down. "Okay girls, we're having a little friend hangout."

"You sound like a grandma," I said to him

"That's it, you're grounded," Sungchan snapped back

"No, I'm not. You're not Mom, Jaehyun, or Harley,"

"I'll be walking with the cheese. That's the queso," Yumi sang

"What?"

"What?" I gave Yumi a strange look

Before I could respond to her, the rest of the boys arrived at the table and quickly took their seats. I scanned the group, hoping to see a particular someone, but he wasn't there. I looked down, feeling a bit disappointed. Maybe he was busy studying or doing something else.

"Hey bestie," Seunghan said to me as he settled into the seat beside mine.

Contrary to popular belief, my longest-standing friend isn't one of the girls. Seunghan and I have been friends practically since birth; even our birthdays are close. I just happened to be a bit smarter, so I ended up a grade ahead in some classes.

"What's this?" Eunseok asked, picking up one of my books.

"Isn't this exam like two weeks away?" Sohee commented.

"Yeah, not even Wonbin would have started preparing for this one," Anton added.

"Why am I being dragged into this conversation?" Wonbin asked casually, leaning his arm on Sohee's chair.

My head snapped up faster than intended to see if it was really him. Unfortunately, Seunghan noticed and gave me a teasing look with wiggling eyebrows while sipping his coffee.
