Aurelia was sitting on the floor of her room while packing her suitcase for New York when her door opened and Gavi entered with his crutches "What are you doing?" asked the footballer "what are you doing??" questioned the woman glaring at him

"I'm bored" the 19 year old dropped onto her bed "Pedri is at training and Fer at work so is my sister and I don't have Physio today" Aurelia sighed "how hard your life is"

"Come on entertain me, what are you doing?" asked Gavi again "packing I am leaving for Nice and New York soon" "New York? What are you doing there?" "a boyfriend" shurgged  the f1 driver

"A BOYFRIEND??" gavi basically yelled "I am trying to get my teammates brother to date me, come on you have seen him, he isn't a snack, he is the whole meal" Gavi just shook his head "you are crazy" "if it works we will have the best wedding ever and his brother is paying" Aurelia grinned "beside we are plotting to get his brother and his crush together"

"Wait wait, tell me again how going to New York will get you a boyfriend?"  the brunette glared at him "I go to New York with Arthur, we spend time together, he likes me and he'll want to date me. It's a perfect plan" explained Aurelia

"PERFECT? That is bound to end in a disaster" Gavi looked at her shocked "fine then you won't be a bridesmaid" "wait— No" he stopped "it won't end in a disaster, Pablito, he knows my intentions i made them very clear and still said i could come"

Gavi sat up on Aurelia's bed, his expression shifting from disbelief to curiosity. "You're serious about this?" he asked, eyebrows raised.

"Dead serious," Aurelia confirmed, folding a chic blazer and placing it neatly into her suitcase. "It's a calculated risk. I've laid out all my cards, and Arthur is still interested."

"Well, I guess that's a start," Gavi said, scratching his head. "But what if it doesn't go as planned? You could end up with a really awkward trip and a ruined friendship with Charles, he is your teammate."

Aurelia waved her hand dismissively. "I'm a big girl. I can handle a little awkwardness. Besides, Arthur seems up for the adventure. I think he's intrigued by the whole idea."

Gavi leaned back, propping himself up on his elbows. "And you're sure this isn't just a bet thing?"

"It started that way," she admitted, zipping her suitcase shut. "But I really do like him. He's different from the other guys I've met. There's something genuine about him, and I want to explore that."

Gavi nodded slowly, a small smile tugging at his lips. "You always go after what you want, don't you?"

"You know it," Aurelia said, standing up and brushing off her jeans. "I figure if you don't take risks, you'll never know what could have been."

Gavi sighed dramatically. "I guess I have to support you, then. Just promise me one thing."

"What's that?" she asked, tilting her head.

"If it all goes south, come back and we'll drown your sorrows in pizza and football."

Aurelia laughed, leaning down to ruffle Gavi's hair. "Deal. But don't worry, Pablito. I've got a good feeling about this."

As Aurelia closed her suitcase, her phone buzzed with a new message. She picked it up, seeing a text from Arthur.

Arthur 😍: Looking forward to New York. What's your favorite kind of pizza?

Aurelia smiled, typing back quickly.

Aurelia 🏎️: Depends on who's paying 😉 But I'm a margarita with arugula girl

Arthur 😍: Noted. I'll make sure we have the best pizza in NYC. Can't wait to see you.

She felt a flutter of excitement. Maybe, just maybe, this wild plan of hers would work out.

Turning to Gavi, she held up her phone. "See? He's already planning our first pizza date."

Gavi shook his head, laughing. "You're unbelievable. Just don't forget the little people when you're off having your whirlwind romance."

Aurelia smirked. "Never. I'll send you a postcard."

With that, she grabbed her suitcase and slung her backpack over her shoulder, giving Gavi a final hug before heading out the door. "Wish me luck!"

"Good luck, Lia," Gavi called after her. "You're going to need it."

As she walked down the hallway, Aurelia felt a surge of determination. She had a plane to catch, a bet to win, and maybe even a heart to capture. And she was ready for all of it.
